Volvo specialists to look after a T5-R

Methinks your single handed campaign against this particular very highly regarded specialist in the maintenance and upgrading of these Volvos fails on the single salient point that T5D5 was taken down about 4 years ago by its owner and, with the exception of the near dormant VPCUK website and the well frequented and carefully moderated VOC site there is little to no accessable media where antagonists like you can air their detrimental views. Fair enough there are a few FB pages which I frequent and I have never, ever seen any evidence posted there concerning bad experiences with Tim Williams. In fact the very opposite with many commendations of him.
Spot on post, my only slight criticism of Tim, he does take time to reply on occasion, that said he does enjoy his trips to the ring and spa with his 850, so maybe he should pop an out of office voicemail message on.Edited by norchi on Saturday 2nd October 09:22

Like i said there are so many supposed car enthusiasts that want to run there car on a shoe string (£10 of fuel in a time brigade) and the run your motor on ditchfinder tyres, is it any wonder builds fail?
Or let me stick on a MBC and wind that "bad boy up"
Lol, so wide off the mark. I spent thousands (£5k) with Tim just to get a working car over 2 visits and he failed both times. No shoestring, he said the price, I paid it and twice the engine failed.
He then blocks all contact after suggesting I put steel seal in it and move it on. Total conman.
I'm sure he ia great when he actually manages to fix a car that then no longer needs to return but when he fks it up he will just wash his hands of it.

i guess you take people as you find them, hes been nothing but fantastic with me and i know of at least a dozen other friends and family that received a great level of customer service
Which is fine as long as the job works out. Just wait until it doesn't and see what happens. See what sort of customer care you get............ I know nobody else that has used him so only have a 100% bad experience.
"Put steel seal in it and move it on".....wow

bit like saying you could have let Fred West babysit your kids after you'd taken them to Ian Huntley.I don't understand the logic of saying it could be worse. Should either tuners to be bad? Does someone else's terrible service negate all others?
This chap has obviously had a bad experience, which was handled poorly by Tim, but is being slammed for his experience and speaking up. I wonder how your "take people as you find them" will work out if you also have an issue. I do hope you suffer in the shadows too, not being able to speak up for fear of being shot down by the fan club.

That is just nonsense. The Volvo owning and tuning community is quite cohesive and no forum, FB page or similar social media Volvo interest platform would edit out any adverse comment on a trader, they are always left for comment to be made and conclusions to be reached. Tim Williams is not denigrated on any of them 'cos quite simply he has a good reputation. It is as simple as that.
Don.
His reputation is mud! Why not ask him about Gustav’s (aka Contrastworks)recent engine build……Don.

I’ve had a couple of issues, which have been resolved without any problem what so ever. Then again it could be the way people engage and interact with the guy. Reckon most jump on the old keyboard first before trying to resolve an issue direct.I don't understand the logic of saying it could be worse. Should either tuners to be bad? With regards to Shem. My comment was tongue in cheek, that said if you wish to take your car to him then do so. Most recent I’ve heard is that If he’s struggling for a part in a build, he whips that said part of another customers perfectly working Volvo, to get him through.
Just take it to Drew Spencer.
