I’m struggling to find words to describe my anger at xxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxx where do I begin?

Ok:

1. I bought a stage 3 PPC inclusive of 3” down pipe with sports catalytic converter full cat back exhaust filter everything, the down pipe was a V70 part but the guy stressed it was the same as an S60 part?

2. I had them all fitted and chipped my car tested it and wow it worked well

3. 2 weeks later it started to hesitate and back fire acceleration felt jerky and tick over was unstable.

4. It then failed to start on me but after a few attempt started but needed the accelerator pedal depressed to its maximum to even start and the popped back fired and violently shook to a halt.

5. I plugged in my PPC and put it back to original and it was fine smooth but felt under powered, when I chipped it again it ran smooth with good performance for a approximately 2 weeks then packed up again.

6. This has been happening for months now and each time I phone the guy he tells me hes reporting it to you? I’m now realising he’s doing nothing of the sort.

7. I took it to a garage to pay for a new set of lambda sensors, air box, MAF sensor, plugs and the same things happening?- I’m forking out literally hundreds of pounds.

8. I have a Volvo V70 and I had stage 2 on it and it worked fine I have no complaints about that one. However this stage 3 I don’t think the car can handle, how come the guy only sells stage 2 on his web site? I’m beginning to think he knows about a problem with the stage 3.

9. Can’t I PLEASE have a stage 2 chip sent / swapped and a refund for the down pipe because I now have a car which is crippled I can’t drive it about de chipped as it runs funny because of the larger down pipe. I would even spend the money on BSR chip for my girlfriends VW Passat 2.3 V5 2002?

Please call me or email me or get that guy to call me and offer me some sort of solution next stop will have to me the managing director of BSR.

Update:

Last night I downloaded a file when syncronizing from the PPC software, I loaded this to the car and it was running fine, this morning I took it for a drive and it was running fine again but seemed to be using more fuel then normal but was working.

I just tried to start it just now and it wouldn’t start misfires non stop and shudders to a halt, all I can smell is petrol.

I plugged in my PPC to return it to original settings and it said that “This PPC unit is not for this car” then it became locked.

Now it states “locked, please syncronize again” ? - what the hells happening now?

I connected to my computer and went on line and “syncronized” is seemed to download but again reported this both when attached to the computer and connected to the car.

Now what am I supposed to do? - the car wont even start now

Hello,

BSR: Your car is reporting code ECM-130a (airleaks or faulty signal from airmassmeter).

Best regards /BSR

Ok I have re flashed my car with the BSR PPC tune settings and it seems to be working well, I didnt not 'return to original' I'm wondering how it was that it wouldent start then I plugged in the PPC flashed it and 3min 23 seconds later it started?

There appears to be no 'airleaks or faulty signal from airmassmeter' I'm just wondering if there's anything I can replace that might make a difference if I have future problems?

I hope it works well this time thanks for your support.

Hello,

BSR: If the problem apear again, we recomend You to read the faultcodes (and repair the car) before reprograming it.

Best regards /BSR

I’m sorry but the problems back again

I started the car and it was pre detonating back firing

after 5 min it levelled off so I drove the car it was faultless

I stopped and when I returned to the car it would not start again in the end I depressed the pedal to the floor until some how the revs picked up again and drove off

After driving for 8 min the revs were normal again, no problems

I stopped the car` but when I started again the problem came back

I plugged in the PPC and pressed the “read code” which it did – but it doesn’t tell me anything?

So I plugged it in again to synchronise for you to read the errors

I TOLD YOU THAT I HAVE ALREADY CHANGED THE AIR MASS METER it was replaced last week when the guy had the same code.

I TOLD YOU THAT THERE ARE NO AIR LEAKS they were tested last week.

I reprogramed the car to original settings and guess what? It ticks over just fine.

Can you instruct xxxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxxx to give me a full refund for the PPC and the Down pipe?

And then I will fit an original as I know now all I am doing is damaging my car.

I told you that I have the down pipe fitted for a V70 dose that matter? – if it dose can you ask xxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxxx to supply the correct one by exchange please?

I'm getting no where with this and I've had this malfunctioning unit for a year now?

Regards.

Well thats as far as I got I'm waiting to hear what will happen next, any idea's?
