Well unplugging the maf made no difference
Is there some sort of starter solenoid? it turns over all day long, but not a hint of even tryin to start.
There seems to be a bit of a run on? noise when you stop turning it over.
Its really doing my swede in now
Have you checked the cam sensor? they cause it to run like a bag of st if they go Is there some sort of starter solenoid? it turns over all day long, but not a hint of even tryin to start.

It lives!!!!!!!!!!!!
Called RAC in the end, and after nearly 2 hours, they diagnosed, possibly, the main relay because the lamda symbol was not displayed on the dash. As they couldnt find said relay, I said I would get one and try it, but as he took his laptop off the top hose, I spotted a grey relay next to the bigger black cooling fan relay. As i pulled it off, a cable snapped off due to corrosion, it is behind the grille I suppose, once remade it started first time, and has been fine ever since.
So I now have a spare rotor arm, dist cap, idle control valve, cam sensor,
crank sensor, coil and amplifier, fuel pump and pump relay.
Basically, look for the lamda light on the dash, if its not there, check main relay!
Cheers for all the ideas anyway guys
