How uneconomical is the 2000 V70XC 2.4T PETROL

What realisticly does one get mpg wise from the v70xc 2.4turbo unit , I was doing some figures versus the diesel 2.5 fwd car and reckon its loads more economical if 40plus is achievable .Anu owners want to comment on the running costs ?

Not had the XC model, but normally I'd expect it to average 22-26, on a motorway run at not-silly-speeds 30 maybe even around 35, if driven carefully.

Not the most economical, but not really too bad considering it's a heavy car with awd.

I've had a 2.4t V70, though not 4wd so probaly a touch better than the XC.

ROund town was low twenties, mid to high twenties on a run. Never better than 31.

Well , looks like it might not be the right choice for me, I might have to do lots of miles its an auto so reckon mid 20´s is the real figure here.
