XC70 - Advice Please

I am looking at buying a 2000 XC70 2.4 manual and was wondering what they are like to live with.

The example I have seen has done 110K and is for sale with a non-franchised dealer.

It looks in really good condition and is a lot of metal for the asking.

Anything specific I should check eg. transmission?

What sort of MPG can I expect?

Would you advise I get a warranty?
