Looking to buy an XC60

Wife's car needs replacing and we need something that can get access to the house when weather bad... I like the look of the XC60 D5 AWD (or possibly DRIVe 2WD). Does anyone have any experience/recommendations with the XC60?

Importantly, we do suffer from flooding a few times a year - anyone know if the XC60 has any decent wading capability (i.e. is the air intake out of the way?)

Also, where's the best place to get a brilliant deal right now? It is worth noting that spec-for-spec an XC90 looks like it could be cheaper as the discounts on the XC90 are very high right now but I don't need the extra space.
