I am currently selling my Volvo V40. I have had it up in the PH classifieds for a few weeks now with little response. I have even lowered the price quite a bit! Should I lower the price even more - it seems fairly well placed amongst others - or should I be looking at wider coverage such as on AT?

Thanks.

Ps. here is the ad.. http://pistonheads.com/sales/1581298.htm

Might be worth giving it a proper clean, taking it somewhere that looks good and getting some proper photos off it. A poor cameraphone photo on the street doesnt grab attention like a good photo does.

That it's not selling is more to do with your ad than the price IMHO. I'd start by giving the car a proper clean, then take it to an attractive location and take some sharp pictures with a decent camera rather than with your phone.

HTH

Damn - beaten to it!!!

Thanks a lot for the tips.
I suppose my logic has been that its a £1500 Volvo and no one will care if its not shining. Apparently not!
Will take it for a wash, get some more pics and see what happens.

Much better - pics are a huge improvement. The only thing that would put me off now is the dent that you mention in the front wing, although I'm not sure how your car compares price wise to similar undented ones! Can it really be sorted for £50? If so I'd suggest that you do.

Good luck with the sale beer
