This thread was started well before christmas - its not our fault we dont want to grow up!
There are worse ways to spend your money and if you get fed up the resale value of lego is pretty decent so you wont loose too much.
Built the mini-mog last night, only took 20mins or so but looks cool and is sturdy enough for my little lass to throw it about.

Spent the day at legoland discovery centre in manchester yesterday - was good. The kids really enjoyed it and took part in 4 build challenges!
Also some great miniland builds and some amazing large scale figures including Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Numerous men, animals and monsters.
Managed to buy the supercar for me and a few kits for the little ones.
Asked the man in the technic section about next years models and he was very excited about the new helicopter but thought the new rc would be a bit weak - still looking forward to them though!

Just started to build the supercar.
Finished the first book in about 3 hrs going slow and watching tv at the same time, great fun so far and some interesting build ideas.
Been considering selling some models but not sure if I should just pack them up and store them in the loft, hmm decisions decisions!

Maybe not quite technic but just ordered the 3 new 'super-hero' figures - and getting quite excited about the new r2-d2!

Yeah Im not convinced on the 'hero' figures but the kids love them, and I have to say they do look quite nice in the flesh. Build time of under 3 minutes for a six year old though
I saw a video of r2d2 a few weeks ago and he does quite a few things, and part of the collectors set so should be a decent kit.
Still waiting for dates on the rc crawler and helicopter...

Well i reserved online and went into store. The lad on the till had to get the manager who finally agreed to sell it to me as i had ordered online - but i had to promise not to tell anyone!?
After paying i asked how many he had and he said he had a box load. I asked if i could have another to stick on ebay, he went a bit mental and i wondered off to the waiting area :-)
