Sets like the Chiron are very exclusive nowadays, LEGO have culled the accounts who can have them and in most cases its only ever JL or Smyths who get any decent amount of stock.

LEGO also will not comment on price at all, so if JL or Smyths want to do a sale then they will - however both of these retailers normally only react to cheap prices on Amazon OR Argos 3 for 2 (You wont often see JL going out on a limb to give stuff away, but they will react quickly to Amazon). However at the moment they are being sensible and making the most of the extra margin whilst they can...
The price of the Chiron WILL drop, there is no doubt about it. The GT3 was released at £249.99 and stayed put for a while - yet during the build up to Black Friday Amazon/Smyths knocked it down to £199 - which then set a new benchmark, from which its never recovered.

You'll find cheaper Chirons from early November as everybody battles to sell a few on the marketplaces etc. I'll get my stock last week in October and will be more than happy to sort you lot out a good deal.

LEGO 75933 is holding its price well, but I doubt it will last forever. When TRU went bang LEGO had to shift all of their exclusive stock and the independents were given a chance to get involved - I went pretty heavy and have done very well with it. Luckily (for me) its quite an expensive line so a lot of the chancers cant afford to buy it in any volume, hence you see small pockets of stock going cheap, before somebody like myself pulls the price back up to where it should be.

p.s the Technic 42082 crane that nobody wants is a bloody good set and actually selling quite well!

That's incredible, I can't even begin to process the design work that must go into that.

I've just ordered the Bugatti and the rough terrain crane.

My partner has 40% off with work so I've taken the leap. I'd swerve the Bugatti otherwise. Should keep me busy for a while.

Think the crane looks quite interesting and I don't have any of the other cranes.

Just missed it on 3 for 2 at Argos. I wonder if it’s likely to get discounted again anywhere? A couple of us at work want one.

Russ, are you going to be getting the Hogwarts Castle in when it's released? I realise this is the wrong thread.

Not JL, but an affiliate.

I’d offer discounts to members here but the discount system changed due to people bulk ordering and offloading Lego on eBay. Like proper taking the pee. We lost the discount for a while whilst it was investigated and limited to one per set now. frown

Just read this post. I’m in Lanzarote for 2 weeks so no chance I can get a GT3 at this price.

Annoyed? You bet I am.

Doesn't appear to be any stock anywhere at that price anyway, currently out of stock everywhere and not even available for delivery. frown
