Thankfully Mrs Joefraser enjoys building the models as much if not more than me. She would barely let me help with the xerion!

Sorting through some old bits and all the small black rubber bands have perished, brinklink are very expensive!

Anyone have any ideas for cheap replacements? Lots on ebay but struggling with the size

Could you use thin O-rings?

I suspect you have been scammed and taken in by a fake lego Facebook page/website.
You’ll either get nothing or a Chinese fake.

Clicked the link myself-it takes you to a dummy legouk.com site or something similar.

I recall this website coming up before, some years back if I recall. Can’t remember the outcome from some of the members who placed orders.

The contact us has no address or phone number, just a full in the blanks contact. Some of the other pages reference US dollars and conflict with other pages about minimum order for free shipment etc.

Fishier than a haddock’s bathing costume.

It’s a blatant scam. There are references to MOGO elsewhere on the site but the fact they’ve ripped off Lego’s own site means they are phishing your real login details.

Best case you’ll get MOGO branded fake sets.

Having moved house recently, and now emptied a storage unit....I have nowhere to build and display some Technic sets I bought a while back. Anyone interested....the boxes are slightly damaged through storage, but the contents are unopened and as new.

LEGO 42043 Technic Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245 Truck
LEGO 42054 Technic CLAAS XERION 5000 TRAC
LEGO 42055 Technic Bucket Wheel Excavator

Plus I have multiple boxes of technic parts that I will have to put on eBay, though rather sell to a PHer. Plus the massive tank I made a few years back without about 13 motors and 5Kg.

Get in touch if anyone is curious.
Cheers.

Its definately a scam, payment made by card has been refunded by my card provider. I am really annoyed I didn't spot it, it had been a long working week, I was tired and wanted to take advantage of a sale - Lesson learned.

Fortunately I use a random pw generator for every account I set up and a separate email for shopping. So should be ok on phising

Glad you were refunded so quickly. I see the site was taken down fairly quickly - but my wife had another Facebook advert from a convincing 50% off Lego site yesterday, so they're popping up again already. Possibly the same people with a new domain, who knows?

It was a strange discussion with the CC company. They couldn't cancel the payment until they had made it, even though I advised them that it was a scam. They tried to wriggle off the hook and I had to resort to quoting the Consumer Credit Act to a manager.

The girlfriend bought me the Chiron. It's a level above the Porsche. So many more techniques to fill in the body gaps and a masterpiece of a gearbox for the 8 speed.

First major price drop on the Chiron, now under £250. Looks like amazon have it at this price too
