Started to build Porsche tonight and Im probably just half way through box one, My God how many cogs are just in that part? I am more interested in seeing how they work and what they do now and I think I have realized how the clutch mechanism works.

Has anybody tested the gear modification correction in the link above? It seems straight forward enough.

Do you have details of the sets and whether they are new and sealed or prebuilt with box and instructions?

This is near where i live, a general toy fair though so not sure how Lego would sell

http://www.barrypotterfairs.com/fairs.php?fair=13

You could get a stall here, various people sell new/used lego

https://bricklive.co.uk

Unfortunately ebay is probably the best way to get max money by selling individually
You'd be too late to get a bricklive stand now for this years event I would imagine and at circa £600 + 4 nights at a hotel, it' wouldn't be cheap.

I can possibly help, however I couldn't afford to buy them all in one go.

If you have access to cheap shipping to Europe the Chiron is currently €290 on Amazon.de

I see Argos doing £10 on spend over £100, missed that by a few days! That potentially makes the Porsche £140 now....

At the current Argos price the Porsche set is a relative bargain - 2 cars and some pits stuff.

I've wanted this for ages, so seeing it at a Smyths Toys for £100 I couldn't say no! Started last night, up to stage three done.

Should look pretty good alongside the Arocs and Crawler Crane!

I haven't opened that actual link but when I built mine I did the gear swap, infinate gear changes fix and swapped round the selector pawls in the paddle build section - I've now got a lovely change that doesn't hang up and can only go 1,2,3,4 - 4,3,2,1. I also made some changes to the shell so it quickly lifts off after some pins are pulled out so you can see all the guts.

I'm tempted to get another 911 so that I can build the Lancia Stratos model https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums...
Just finished building the Stratos quite a nice build albeit a bit fiddly in places and the build order could be optimised. A couple of obvious errors in the instructions

Porsche is well underway. This is about 1/4 of the way in

I'll take a better picture when I start working on it again

Stratos looks interesting - I have a white decool GT3 - could I make the stratos without any extra parts?

What is the best link for instructions?

Argos is having a 3 for 2 starting tomorrow, makes the Chiron £220 if split between 3 people.

I might have to do this, would make a nice change on the shelf!

I've never used a MOC guide before, how hard are they to follow?

Probably the most fun I've had building a model.

Now waiting for the Chiron to hit a reasonable price. It was a long wait for the Porsche!
