Could you give the link please?
All i can find is £179.99
https://www.amazon.co.uk/LEGO-42082-Rough-Terrain-...
That is the right link but the £108 sold out very quickly.

Smyths still have it at £149.99 and Argos at £139.99. John Lewis sold out.

I put the crane in my basket at £108.10 as I waited for my train but didn't buy it because it said it was a deal of the day, implying it was a deal which would be on all day. Now I've got to the office it's gone. It was indeed a deal but if Amazon want to sell it as a deal of the day, they ought to be obliged to honour it all day. Hit them in the pocket laugh

It started yesterday, so i'm guessing it was a midnight-midnight deal of the day for yesterday for a company based in Seattle (Pacific time zone, GMT-8)

Whilst they would regret losing your custom, I bet they've made enough money that they can laugh right back at you... wink

I thought I'd got a good deal midweek at £140, after having already bought at £160 at the beginning of the week (and cancelled before receiving them). So when I spotted the £108 I was mighty annoyed! Amazon customer services I must say though are excellent, they credited my account with the difference after I enquired about a return. Very happy bunny: big discount on what I was prepared to pay.

I'd be really surprised if the price gets so low again (obviously already gone back up today). But then I thought that at £160 and £140...

Must also say though, while I can't complain at the discounted price itself, the yoyoing of the prices does make timing of a purchase it a bit of a lottery. Very frustrating if you spend ~£200+ on some of these sets only to see huge price drops a few weeks later. Almost enough to put me off buying at all.

My view is pick a price you'd be happy to pay, and if it gets down to that price, get it. It can go either way. To me, £140 was fair enough. Sounds like the £108 wasn't for long, so chances are I'd have missed it anyway.

So, thats made me look stupid. Absolutely ridiculous deal for you guys - but from my side absolutely stupid. Why so cheap... thats nearly £50 cheaper than trade and a massive pain in the ass when I have >£30,000 of them sat in the warehouse.

It must get to the stage, Russ, when it's almost not worth you ordering big bulk loads of this stuff, must be bloody frustrating!

Symths have a voucher offer for use in store. £5 off when spending £50 and £10 off spending £100. That makes a price match if you buy in store. Clicky link on the shop home page.

Missed this one mate... End of the day the deals always run out, the prices come back up and I sell my stock. But, I do sometimes wonder why I bother! You just have to buy an amount that is comfortable and keep a close eye on it... I just get annoyed when businesses sell deals too cheap? Why on earth did it need to go down so low? You'd have all bought it at £139 - it just devalues the product.

You also have to remember that only a small % of people look at deal sites and forums like this. So whilst maybe a few hundred people got this deal at £108. By 11am the price was back up to £189 (I had the buy box) and people were buying unaware of the previous deal.

You have to be really careful with Amazon prices - they are all other the place. Buyers are fooled into thinking that its always the cheapest and just pay without searching elsewhere!
