Initial thought was it looked more like the discovery than a defender.

Then realised it was the new one. It that officially released then?

Pics seem to have gone from that link but are available elsewhere. Looks like somebody has broken an embargo - LR are going to be very pissed off!

The car transporter and the Defender look good, I'm sure Mrs Bobbers won't mind me buying them! She won't mind will she? Chaps? It's gone very quiet.......

Dismantle an existing set. Buy the new one and build it as the “b” version of what you dismantled. Hide the box. She will never notice.

Ok she may notice but you can still post bold pictures using wifi from hospital.

Like the off-roader, car transporter and crane. Not that I need another crane, the big one is still in my loft.
Not much of a fan of the LR, would have prefered the old school version.

I have. I'm mostly tempted by the transporter. The 4x4 looks very similar 9398 from a few years ago so I'm not going to bother with that, I don't really care about cranes so that's out for me.

Does anyone know whether the likes of the mini, mustang, DB5 etc will fit on the transporter or is it an odd scale?

4x4 has a whole new control system (from an app) as does the excavator. Looked quite impressive in the videos.

From the Lego website:

Car Transporter measures over 8” (22cm) high, 33” (86cm) long and 5” (13cm) wide.
Blue car measures over 3” (8cm) high, 10” (27cm) long and 4” (12cm) wide

I counted the trailer as being circa 19 - 21 holes wide so probably a bit small for the Mustang and DB5. I might have to custom build a car transporter as the display vehicle for those.

Cheers guys, I might give the 4x4 a go then and leave the transporter.

Save me trying to work it out but is it to the same scale as the Mack truck?

If so, then I’m tempted as it will ‘bookend’ the Mack. Read somewhere that the Corvette (42093) will fit on the transporter alongside the ‘free’ car but not sure.

Yep! A VERY welcome surprise, thanks to the PH / Jadlam team for thinking about us smile I only have one question..... what about a group buy on the Liebherr? That's the one I'm really excited about!

Indeed! I was very disappointed not to see that in the list.

Ah ha, a bit more research seems to indicate that they're not launching the Leibherr until October.

This is correct. Launch has been delayed...

October could be an expensive month... Defender & liebherr.

Many of you interested in either or both?
