There are a number of MOCs of the P1 including a version using the 911 as the major parts donor.

Looks like Lepin did a version of this.

I want to buy that transporter, I see its only £140 on the lego online, release date is tomorrow. Russ, can you do anything on this if I decide to pay you instead?

He already did a Group Buy and it was £120.70 including delivery, although I forgot to order and it's now gone frown

I'm awfully tempted by that 4x4 X-Treme Off-Roader. Very intrigued by the new "Control +" system, just trying to decide if it's worth parting with £200 to try it!

Drop me some emails and I’ll sort you out.

The deals came off the web early due to political reasons at LEGO hq in Western Europe.

The sets are now instock and ready to go... email me and I’ll look after you.

I felt the same. Bought the new Porsche from the Speed Champions set and the car transporter - but just couldn't part with the EUR219 being asked for the new xtreme 4x4

I'm not keen and, in fact, stock-piled some power functions motors before they are phased out.

I just want something self-contained. I don't want to be in an eco-system that relies on a phone, as who knows what capabilities phones will have in ten years' and whether or not bluetooth will be one of them... Giving the cost of Lego, it's got to be viewed as a bit of an investment!

I found it to be a rather joyless construction and although the new controls work fine, if you are used to playing driving games on your phone, I did find them rather clunky and would prefer the old RC style sticks.

Not my favourite technic kit by a long way.

Yes, that did occur to me too. Not ideal, but there's no shortage of old smartphones kicking around (I've got a drawer full of the things); I'll use one of them as a dedicated Lego controller. The Powered Up controllers might be compatible; I haven't found anything definitive on the matter as yet, but I suspect that's just down to Control + being very new.

Anyway, have just ordered the model, thanks to Russ (russy01) for offering it at a nice discount, appreciate it! smile

I too thought I was on the list having previously been on a group but however haven’t seen anything? Maybe I missed a GDPR email.

I have a few motors, however i would like some more.

I'd very much like to use an S-Brick+ as well, it seems you can do some interesting, somewhat advanced things with it.

A new app is on it's way as well, to allow you do more on your device, it is alot more than just a bluetooth IR receiver replacement.

Well, if you can connect a raspberry pi to some lego, add some sensors and code for it, then I might get interested then...

(Yes, I know I've just described Mindstorms, but have you seen the prices of that stuff!?)
