I think these are second-hand from eBay, or at least not exactly unopened new boxes. Which means asking Lego for new parts seems a little presumtuous. I could be wrong though smile

I think I've had three genuinely missing parts (vs finding a "missing part" hiding in a bag) in dozens of sets, large and small.

On a related topic, a friend of mine had a missing inner bag which formed part of one of the "bags" for the millennium falcon and they couldn't just send the one mini bag (it was one of the bags in a bag with small parts) and had to send the whole main section (i.e. all of bag 14 which is actually a number of smaller bags!)
Ah, missed that (I clocked 'brand new')...

Agree about getting spares from LEGO - I would if a new kit had any missing but a used one I'd go to Bricklink and buy it.

Also don’t forget he’s buying a new kit every 5 minutes so he’s likely to encounter more kits with issues than most of us.

This, & a couple of others, were as bought ‘as new’ with confirmation that every piece was present & correct.

Sadly turned out not too be the case & when I contacted the seller he told me to fk off!!!

Lego have stated that they will supply the missing pieces with a nominal cost to myself which is fair enough.

That’s true. Picking up the Harley Fatboy & Lunar Lander tomorrow. Also got my eyes on a second Porsche 911 RSR on a local Facebook selling site.

Current asking price is £50.00!!! Built up but I’ll take it too pieces & rebuild it if I get it.

That response from an eBay seller would be causing me to raise a 'not as described' case - and as the buyer, you'll win. He's said it's all present and correct; it's not - and then to tell you to fk off is just adding insult to injury.

The new Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 is a superb build, it's much bigger than I was expecting too.

What’s the point? eBay usually side with the seller no matter what. I guess his argument would be that he sold the kits too me 6 months ago - which is true. I have only just got around to building them up.

I am tempted by this however the £350 price tag scares me a little.

eBay almost always side with the buyer but yes, your leaving it 6 months will have passed that time limit.

It is a great build, finished mine last night - the scissor door mechanism is a particularly neat design, and the exhaust manifolds are a work of art. I also like that they've made the engine bay cover easier to remove than on the Chiron.

A bit disappointed in the colour match between some of the bodywork though - there seem to be two distinct shades of 'lime green', even among the same type of piece. Not great for a £350 kit imho:

Timbergiant, does yours have the same issue or is the bodywork all a uniform colour? It's not hugely noticeable unless you look closely, but now I've seen it I can't un-see it... irked

Yes, some of the smaller parts seem to be a slightly different shade, its not too bad but its there, the orange 911 GT3 RS from a few years ago is much worse, even more so under UV light.

Finally got to the 42108 Mobile Crane. Nearly 1300 pieces for less than €80, with lots of functionality, a very nice build!

Is the Osprey the first time they've produced a modern military aircraft/vehicle?

I remember the time when Lego said they would never have guns in their toys. Just take a look at the licensed minifig properties now...

That was what got me thinking re. the Osprey - although still don't think Lego make any 'modern army/warfare' type sets do they?

How long ago was that? I clearly remember the pirate sets having muskets and pistols back in the 80s.

As far as I’m aware, Lego avoid modern weaponry and militarism but have always produced (very) historical and fantasy weapons and things.

So, swords and muskets are ok but not tanks, destroyers and machine guns.

They make an exception for licensed stuff like Star Wars.
