Let us know how you get on as I am also interested in the brick club approach.
Assume it will arrive with all the bits in the numbered bags. When you take it apart afterwards do they have to go pack in the bags or do you sent them all back in a pile and someone in brick club sorts it out?
I wonder how 'damaged' the parts will be given they have been put together and taken apart several times.

Maybe I'm being unreasonable, but "We ensure that all Technic kits sent have a minimum RRP of £100.00" seemed pretty clear to me.
Their response is that this is an older set that cost them a lot to buy.
It still never had an RRP of over £100. I thought I was signing up to a service that had bigger, more complex sets.

Amazon are rarely good value for Lego. I wouldn't use them as a benchmark for pricing.
As Sporky mentioned, the reference should be RRP if that's what they're promising.
It's also entirely possible that they may be buying and sending out used kits from the get-go - you'd never know as they're (obviously) not in original packaging and could have been built multiple times before.

I've signed up to Brick Club. Constant stream of Technic sets, no need to store or sell the finished item. If it's of interest I will update as I go along.
I thought that looked really good until I saw they used Yodel to ship. Which means probably half the kits would go missing for me either out or backFunk said:

I'm not fussed if they're buying them new or used, but if they say nothing with an RRP under £100 it should be true. Have a separate subscription for the discontinued stuff, and people can pick and choose what they want then. It's also entirely possible that they may be buying and sending out used kits from the get-go - you'd never know as they're (obviously) not in original packaging and could have been built multiple times before.
If they're happy to fib about that, what else are they fibbing about?

Its a set that was released in 2012. Going by Lego prices a set that was £49 then probably is a £100 set now.
Boxed with instructions £75 on ebay now.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEGO-Tow-Truck-Ref-9395...

In terms of piece count (954 pieces) vs current sets, it falls between 42139 All Terrain Vehicle (764 pieces, £64.99) and Dom's Dodge Charger (1077 pieces, £89.99), nearer the latter, so around £80. Which still isn't £100+.
That is rather disappointing start in imho. They can get an even older set to make it worth even more...Gassing Station | Scale Models | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
