No, that's the myphitic blight hauler (little mini tank) - gets +1 to hit in shooting.

Foul Blightspawn has an awesome 'flamer' type weapon, with random (but always good) stats. Roll well on the stats rolls, and a single cheap dude can take out some very big stuff (autohitting - so flyers aren't safe either) in a single attack. Can't remember if it's him or the grenade dude that also means automatic loss of initiative in the fight phase, meaning if you get charged you still get to attack first...

Issue 11 confirmed as 3 ETB Primaris Aggressors, so it seems to be following the order above.

Magazine watch: there are 3 copies of issue 9 in the local WH Smiths, up from 2 last week, probably because I bought them both and they sold out, so Hachette have sent an additional copy this week. It's the Pox walker issue though, so I can't see there being much interest as you can buy them less than the cost of the magazine on eBay.

Let's see how many of them get sold now this "opportunistic acensoredhole" isn't buying any!

Anyone building a Death Guard army really should aim for at least one, and probably two, Foul Blightspawn.

They're just mentally good on the tabletop...

Anyone willing to sell on the munitorum containers for a reasonable price has a buyer right here!
Sway, if you want Munitorum containers, just buy this:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kill-Zone-Sector-Munito...tongue outf:1&frcectupt=true

Then sell the servo haulers for about £10 which means you get 6 container sprues for £30 (£5 each). Then sell any container sprues you don't want for £7 a pop and it further reduces the cost of the ones you want to keep.

You then get to keep a nifty gaming board for Kill Zone, too.

Then buy 2 sector munitorum boxes and sell of the bits you don't want! Should work out to around £4 per container for 12 containers.

If that's still a bit steep (it would be for me!), then have you looked at 3rd party vendors of Sci Fi containers?

These look pretty good:

I have half a dozen of those - aiming for a diorama for storing a couple of Kill Teams at home. Think I'm going to need about 20-25.

Definitely picking up the munitorum kill zone. The plastic containers are quite a bit nicer when painted than the ply ones.

Issue 12 confirmed as Foul Blightspawn. Looks like it will be in the order I posted above.

Any picking up the new Ork codex or any new models? I'm gonna finally pull my finger out and get some stuff painted!

I had to resist at the weekend...

Crikey, they're good looking kits. Powerful too - there's going to be a lot of orky tournament armies for the first time in nearly a decade.

Think I've decided to sell off my pretty large Death Guard army, finish off my Deathwatch Kill Team roster (campaign starts at local store next week) and then I've got the bandwidth for new stuff.

Have the Grandmaster Edition of Adeptus Titanicus sat unopened - still debating whether to flip it for approx. £100 profit prior to Christmas, use the dosh to get a new 40k army spun up, and then get the reprint in the New Year Geedubs have promised...

Careful Sway, you'll be accused of being an opportunistic acensoredehole! wink

Post up some pics of your Death Guard army please! I originally planned to sell on the Death Guard half of the Conquest magazine set to offset the cost of the Ultramarin side, but I'm toying with the idea of keeping and painting them.

I never really caught the bug with Adeptus Titanicus - sure they're cool looking minis, but there's something about the smaller scale that just leaves me cold (was the same with Epic, back in the day). The fact that nowadays you can buy mini-titans and even some of the smaller titans for not unreasonable money justs adds to that. I've got an Saim Hann Revenant Titan that just needs finishing off - finding it difficult to get the wraithstone effect right on the model's large and very 3 dimensional gems, I guess ultimately you can't get the translucent effect from more than one angle using the traditional method.

I was absolutely an opportunistic ahole...

Local store offered me a pre- order for a ridiculous price, so I took it. A good mate/PHer who's a sucker for Titans was also game.

Life has got in the way a bit, so at best it'll be a Christmas project. If I can however bring joy to someone else's Christmas, then I guess I'll be the samaritan...

Here's a pic of the current DG army - virtually all painted, just a couple of characters and two leviathans that need finishing:

List of units:

2x Leviathan dreadnoughts, scenic bases and loads of magnetised weapons.

40k Typhus on 30k scenic base.

30k Typhon (run as Chaos Lord)

3x Myphitic Blight Haulers

2x Foetid Bloat Drones (1x spitters, 1x spitters/Launcher)

Blightlord Terminators, magnetised arms

Loadsa pox walkers and cultists.

Foul Blightspawn

Lord of Contagion

Plaguecaster.

They look great - makes a nice change to see a paint job that "pops" rather than the dull, washed out, dirty paint jobs that most minis get nowadays.

Cheers. Here's an old closeup:

I wanted a vibrant toxicity for my army rather than the drab colours GW favour for DG. A montana gold spray was perfect - almost neon when first painted, made grubby and grimy really easily with some washes.

Speaking of washes, my pox walkers were almost exclusively painted with them:

Well good customer service seems to have been omitted as a requirement for working in my local WH Smith’s. Went in at lunch and for the first time they didn’t have any out, so asked the only member of staff I could find. Honest to god they seems to think that the response of I don’t know was the only response needed and and end to the conversation. The look on their face when prompted to respond to “well are you going to find out if you still stock it?” You’d have thought that I’d grown 4 heads!

Colleague is going to try his local one on the way home.

Doubtful.

(for context, youngy and I used to play online a lot - and "opportunistic ahole" is perhaps the mildest insult that used to get thrown around...)

Erm, in the past 6 months you have made a grand total of 7 posts across the entire PH Forum.

5 of those posts have been about "opportunistic acensoredeholes" picking up the 40k magazine.

That would kind of suggest it's not me who is feeling butt hurt. wink

What's the matter, did you save up all your pocket money to get a Lt. Calsius, only for them to be sold out once you got to the shop after school? I bet you cried all the way home.cry

The staff at my lcoal WH Smith's have been very good - have even commented about how quickly/slowly a week's issue has sold on a few occasions and could very quickly check at the till how many copies they'd received vs sold.
