Cheers, it's highlighted that I really need a wet palette, with the warm weather the paint was drying out fast too quickly. It's shows on the skin which I'm least happy with.

"Skullshank" done now...

Tried something different for the skin this time, guilliman flesh contrast over elf flesh, didn't really work so layered over cadian flesh tone then highlighted with a 50/50 mis of cadian/elf flesh.

Those Blood Angels look stunning! It's always nice to see proper red BA's!

You might have inspired me to do some myself!

No probs:

Base (thinned and applied with airbrush): Mephiston Red.
Shadow\line shading: 50/50 mix of Khorne red and Incubi darkness, thinned and applied carefully into recess areas.

First Highlight: Evil Suns Scarlet applied with fine brush on edges
Second Highlight: Wild Rider red, applied to higher area edges.
Third Highlight: Luganeth Orange (Edge Paint), very tips and highest areas.

Glaze: Thinned Flesh tearer red Contrast, 75/25 thinned (medium/paint) with contrast medium over the red to bring it all together.

The Primaris marines in the above pic are brighter than they actually are due to playing about with HDR on new camera, they are more like the tanks in red tone and in the army so far pic at top smile

Bug player here wavey myself and a few friends returned to the hobby early 2018. In my formative years I played a lot of Chaos in both fantasy and 40k. There was always something about running a horde and this time round I thought why not. They are an absolute riot to use, a little squishy mind but the big bugs with big guns are awesome!.

Fantastic, the broodlord is such an amazing model and pretty tasty in game. He’s had a good few scraps with my Typhus!

Nice paint job.

How funny, I've just made some of the little ones (not into tyranids for forget the name for a diorama and gone with an almost colour scheme. A wet looking iridescent purple-black. Wasn't keen on the bone colouring on the box.

I'm going to have to forgive GW for not giving us updated 'Nids or Eldar minis at the moment... Because they have announced this!

Couple more WIPS to finish the squad of 7 (Nurgles number!). Not keen on these, they were the easy build jobbies and had to paint new stuff like smoke.

They're some of the nicest death guard I've seen.

Super crisp, yet nicely filthy.

I don't understand or relate to any of this. That's not the point.

But I do understand and appreciate people who have a passion and interest (whatever it is) so more power to you all.

Nice skilful work and art. Crack on.

It's a great box - a mate pointed out earlier it makes a legal 1k army for both factions, which is unheard of!

It's not sold out though... My local store still has a dozen that they're only selling via store for another week or two (they sold many online on pre-order day).

I've picked one up for a fellow PHer. Nice discount on rrp too.
