Not entirely happy with how the paintjob has turned out on my 993 GT2 but it's not too bad. Need to paint the cockpit, add the light buckets and fit the mirrors.

My FAV had an outing and the poor bloke lost his arm after an unfortunate rollover!

And my Pajero is coming along nicely too;

more photos of the Pajero, pretty please! What brand is it? (apart from being Mitsubishi, obviously...)

Looks like the Tamiya CC-01 kit with a bunch of extras.

Very smart. I've read your threads on Tamiyaclub - where for some reason my efforts to register are being ignored.

I'm really pleased with it. Hard to find in the UK but plenty of German shops carry them at the moment. I bought a spare body and sticker set because I'm crap at not crashing smile

Maybe I should get a spare bumper and uprights. Hmm.

Or a spare Egress.

hehe

Where did you get the body from?

I'm thinking about getting an Axial of some sort but don't really want a Jeep body, and that looks fantastic.

ETA and which Axial kit did you use as the base? It appears the SCX10 chassis comes in different wheelbases.

Thanks smile

That is worrying to hear - the community there is great but seriously lacking in new members. I'll pm the moderators - what domain are you using for your email address? I know that there used to be issues with Hotmail accounts.

It's from a Chinese RC toy, I got mine years ago, I think RC4wd do them (very expensive) or ebay. search for 1/10 land rover

The chassis started as an Axial SCX10 Dingo (I think) - comes with aluminium links, I think I trimmed them on the front lowers, then made my own front uppers and both sets of rears out of M4 threaded bar and ally tube to sleeve & a pack of rod ends. Can get better pictures tonight if you want. The sliders are my own design in aluminium brazed together. Trimmed front and rear SCX10 bumpers (standard ones too wide)

Thanks for the info.

I've been doing some searching online and found the RC4WD bodies. I'll have a look for a cheaper alternative.

Looks like it is simple enough to shorten the wheelbase on the SCX10 chassis, so I'm thinking of getting the RTR Jeep Rubikon and gradually modding it. I'd like a Dingo but by the time I get the kit, all the radio gear, motor etc it ends up much more expensive than the RTR Jeep.

I only got the dingo as I wanted to build a Kit and had the radio gear. I sold the body, wheels and tyres on.

RTR sounds like a good option to get everything you need, heard good things about the standard electronics too.

F-150 project got some new wheels / tyres:

Porsche 993 gained a younger brother in the form of a 996 GT3. Still not decided whether I like the colour choice, but it's done now.
