Gone back to the Baja side. KM 002C ported 29/30.5cc (description said 29cc but engine says 30.5)
Still shiny and new, fitted an IRC lower chassis brace and killswitch which is essential, it came with the upgraded top and rear braces so those should suffice. For the price they are ideal, i gave my last one death and it held up amazingly.

Axial Bomber RR10 arrived last week, couldn't use it until I'd converted the battery pack to Deans connector from the terrible stamped and formed crimp pin type. The Deans connectors arrived on Friday so a quick bit of soldering and play time.
A very impressive truck straight out of the box, excellent suspension and very agile!
It needs a bigger play area than our garden that is for sure!
Pictures to follow...

Built this last Christmas - a RR Sand Scorcher.
Pic is at Bournemouth beach.
I've also had various other Tamiya fayre when I was in my teens, plus a Kyosho Optima Mid and Shumacher Pro-Cat, both of which I raced at the Surrey R/C car club at Sandown Park...

Just bought one myself :-)
Have you fitted alloys and any recommendations for painting?
Which masking tape and colour/primers to use and in what order?
Thanks!

I did this one, masking takes ages, use Tamiya 2 mm tape for the edges, the paint is available from Tamiya as well, they also do a really good primer, take your time with the masking! So is this correct:
1) glue and fit all body panels + sand down
2) spray primer
3) spray blue
4) mask over areas to remain blue
5) spray white
6) lacquer
?
Thanks :-)
I assembled the nose to the shell first and fitted up the back lights, washed down with soapy water, nibbed off the flash, several primer coats then base painted the wholes shell white, then spent haours masking the car out for the blue, only took two coats, use Tamiya tape to lessen the chance of bleed on the edges, I did not lacquer it.
Paint the insides up, assemble road test and weep as the bin it and wreck the paint/mirrors then have at it down the beach!
