Don't get your hopes up to high. Maisto aren't fantastic but maybe they do different levels like Hotwheels do with their Elite stuff.
Maisto are cheap for a reason. The basic form is just about acceptable, everything else is poor and probably best avoided IMO. Some maisto models are very reasonable though, for example the BMW v12 LMR.

Very nice.Any particular manufacturer (I know Hot Wheels Elite do a lot of Ferrari models)?
Which models would you say are the highlights of your collection?
^Very comprehensive!
A couple of new additions for my collection:
Fina McLaren F1 GTR Longtail (pictured with the Fina GTR I bought last year).
The other 'new' Longtail (again with the other Fina model)
Another V12 LMR (already have #15 by Maisto which won Le Mans), this one won the Sebring 12hrs in 1999

As a massive Riccardo Patrese fan, here's the Minichamps Brabham BMW BT52 from 1983. I love this model! The BT52 has got to be one of the best looking F1 cars ever.
Hi Darren, I've seen these go for a decent sum on ebay. Looks great and certainly something I'd like to add to my collection in the future. What's the detail like up close? Any issues with the decals fading/cracking/coming off?Unfortunately, I've been naughty.
New year's resolution to stop buying new models.
1st of Jan I bought this:
Minichamps McLaren F1 1/12
2nd Jan I bought this:
Minichamps Bruno Spengler M3 DTM 2012

Some great additions of late, thanks for sharing Matt and Bebee.
FWIW, my most recent addition (gift from the gf) Alexander Calder BMW CSL Art Car - terrible photo apologies.

Does anyone have any experience of the Tonka models? I'm after an F40 and they are by far the most affordable option. I'm concerned it would look out of place next to Autoart and Otto models and it will mess with my OCD!
Tbh, I'd be looking at the Kyosho version.FWIW, my most recent addition (gift from the gf) Alexander Calder BMW CSL Art Car - terrible photo apologies.
Great recent additions chaps.
Quite a collection there Gareth!
I've recently added a Kyosho RR Phantom to my collection.
To long to fit in my cabinet, had to put it in sideways!
RR Ghost in the foreground.
M3 GTS arrived from GT Spirit (resin/no opening parts)
With the Bruno Spengler DTM and BASF M1
Also got a new TSM pit crew

Hi SAB, yes I noticed your posts over on DX. It's a good forum (and lets one indulge in one's model car geekery!).
Indeed, Ikea still make the Detolf. I purchased the most recent one a couple of weeks back (still £40). The advantage of these is the potential to add new shelves (which I intend to do in the near future). The additional light also looks good too.
