Last year I bought my FIL the Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Clubsport 1/18 model from GT Spirit. I was incredibly impressed with it to the point that I wanted to get GT Spirit model for myself but at the time, none of their offerings ticked the boxes in terms of absolute interest, until they did the GT40.

Finally got mine this week and, just like the Porsche, it doesn't disappoint. There are no opening features though I think that makes for a more asthetically appealing finish and the paint quality is very good. The only negative if I can be picky is the lack of detail in the engine bay with the trumpets and rear vent plate. Looks a little cheap and unfinished compared to the rest of the car. but all in all very impressed by the GT Spirit models.

Apologies for the poor iPad snaps.

Just found this thread and wow some gems out there, particularly like the BMW art car.

Now have my Uncle's mint Bugatti, but will auction it so I can swap out for something more modern. Cayman GT4, do they make one.... off to google....
Get yourself a Cayman but I wouldn't be in a hurry to auction off that Bugatti! That's something special, also like the real thing! That's a keeper. Bauer I believe? Do you have the base?

Very nice collection! I am a big fan of the GT Spirit models. I can sympathise with the 'running out of room' comment too, I am the same with my collection.

I only have 1 car.

Bought it back in late 80's as I was going to start collecting them. Moved on to something else so didn't bother.

I'm thinking of selling it, but I can't find the 2 small antennas that came with it! Apart from that it is in as new condition in all the original packaging and both the boxes as I never displayed it. Prob worth a few £ now.

Anyone have any experience of recent Otto models? Thinking of trying one but don't want to be returning items or messing about like that.

I've got around a dozen Otto models, quality is fairly good, they are resin models so fairly fragile and the wheels don'y turn though.

The most annoying thing I find is then, when dusting the models, the windows of an Otto model are VERY thin so you have to be careful when touching/cleaning the model.

Where are your display cases from? I need to start looking for a sealed/dust proof display unit for mine as the glass Ikea units' days are numbered!

Why do you say that? I find with a bit of work on the lighting they can look amazing!!!

Getting them there....

The 1958 Maserati 300S Winner

I think it has to be the nicest engine bay in my collection!

Rear isn't badly detailed either!!!

Cockpit is beautifully detailed. One of my favourites this Maser!

The only thing that lets that Maserati down is the massive grain in the leather. If it wasn't for that some of those photos you could mistake for the real car!

They are from Ikea but they still have gaps in the doors
