I'll keep this one above with the newest arrival, the Ferrari Sharknose of Wofgang Von Trips as raced in Germany 1961.

Again by CMC and an exquisite little gem of engineering in such a small scale!

In my ongoing quest to fill up my shelves I've picked up a few more at the cheaper end of the scale.

The full set of maistos le mans cars. All boxed and as new with the exception of the 1999 car. These are actually very good especially as I won them all for about a tenner each.

Also this Morgan Aero 8 as it was recommended as being one of the best maisto ever did.

Le Mans cars always look great. Tenner each is crazy value.

I've seen some sell for double that and more. I was lucky with the crocodile R8 as its quite sought after.

Lovely, I'll probably get one of these at some point. Isn't there a 1:12 version aswell?

The 1:12th version is ££££!!!!!!

MFH have just brought out a 1:12th multi media kit available in the UK for about £600,
I wonder how a well built example would compare to the 1:12th CMC?

I love collecting 1:18 models of cars that I've owned! I've also got a few models of cars that I'd like to own in the future - having them all on the shelf in my office provides a constant source of happiness and motivation. smile

Anyhow, I noticed about month or two ago - completely by chance - that someone had finally made a 1:18 scale model of the MK2 MR2 - a car that I used to own and have never been able to get a scale model. Imagine my delight when I found that they also launched the Revision 3 model (1994 onwards), which has the same rear light design as my own car. And it is in red!! Just like mine!!!

I was really excited to get one, but at £200 it did make me wince a bit I have to say. However, money well spent - it arrived today and its now got pride of place on my shelf. Here is it with my other 'current / previously owned' model cars.

You know you can get a set of 1/18 number plates on eBay to make it yours.

I have a couple of 1:43 model Lamborghinis but I believe they are resin. I think they are very good quality.

Here is a great looking model, the BMW as raced at the 2010 LeMans and part of their ART CAR series. Modelled by Minichamps it comes with a display case and lovely base.
Very collectible and there are many different versions!

I bought all of the art cars on order from my local parts guy at BMW main dealer. They looked great all displayed together. Sold them all a year or so ago and got a lot more than I paid.

Anybody know if it is only Exoto who make a 1:18 Jaguar XJR9 LM (the "silk cut Jag")? I've been after one for ages, but am stalling a bit on spending £3-400 on the Exoto one...
Did you get one in the end?

After our house move, finally got my 1/18s out of their storage boxes. I estimated I had about 80...turns out it's closer to 140! eek
