Love the look of this! Am I correct that it would be of similar scale to ecto1? Might make a nice Christmas present if I can wait that long
Ecto 1:

H: 10" (23cm)
W: 7" (17cm)
D: 19" (47cm)

Defender Classic:

H: 7" (16cm)

D: 13" (32cm)

Got a nice surprise in work last week when I was gifted the 10266 Lunar Lander as a thank you for a project I just completed. Should look good next to my Shuttle.

They do go well together - and an excuse to get the Saturn V as well if you haven't already...!

I bought the fake Lepin Saturn V, but it turned out to have a bag of parts missing (got a refund), so I only got at far as doing the 1st Stage.

I really enjoyed the Lunar Lander. It’s an interesting build and a brilliant display piece. Especially with the Shuttle, Saturn and ISS.

Hope you enjoy it!

ISS not in this pic obvs

I like the Defender, but as a display model I think it looks a lot better without the roof rack, tools, and bull bar. They must account for at least a third of the pieces in the set.
Presumably you can build it without all the puffer jacket one life live it kit and it not look weird? I'm sure I saw a photo on insta without it.

It's a definite purchase for me, but I've got a growing list of sets I haven't bought yet (Delorean, Up House, others!) and thats not including the unbuilt ones I have under my desk at work (Shuttle, T-Rex, Technic 911, st load of speed champs!).

You can build various versions. With it without the full-on overlander kit and also as a TD5 or V8.

I am awaiting some MOC conversations on this set. Especially a series 1.

That is pretty cool. Think that will be a purchase then.

I really need to build that Shuttle as evidenced by someones pics above, it looks amazing (and huge).

I finally found the Skyline today, I was going to get the "Off Road" set - truck and mountain bikes, as I am a mountain biker, but my 4-year-old son got upset that I was getting 2 LEGO sets, so I'll get it another time.

Inadvertently got these both on the same day, brand new from eBay, wanted the lunar lander for ages and made a lower offer on the Ghostbusters car and surprisingly had my offer accepted.

Visiting my folks at the mo. Mum is getting worse and worse with Alzheimer’s. She got me into Lego as a kid and was pretty adventurous with building back then.

I bought her the Flower Bouquet in 2021 which she managed herself, bought her the Birds of Paradise set last September and it’s remained untouched until yesterday (well, she had opened the box but was completely flummoxed by the contents).

After a lot of very patient hours, she was really struggling, she/we completed the set.

Bloody lovely thing!

As she progressed it was making more sense to her but still a massive struggle.

She likes the result though and likes that she at least won’t have to water these!!! And they’re her favourite flowers.

As a build the set is a little repetitive but very clever (in particular the base/vase.

Same, I thought they were fairly popular though. They are lovely little builds and great for shelves, windowsills etc.

Not sure if anyone’s into the Speed Champions stuff but I picked up 4 of the new sets from Jadlam for £64.95 (actually I paid £59.95 as I had a £5 in points smile). The sets were 76914, 5, 6 & 7.
