Lego Concorde, just a tip when you fit a lighting kit to the model. Make sure you get the red and green nav lights the right way round.
I checked and double checked. Fully assembled and tested.
Wrong way round. Bugger,
Then realised the model is upside down when fitting the lights.!!!!
Oops. And double oops. Andy. Ex aircraft electrician,

I have recently won an eBay auction for a 10295 Porsche 911. It’s just turned up and it’s not in great condition. A number of the pieces have started to yellow quite badly which wasn’t mentioned in the auction.
Is there any way to recover these back to white?
First thing I would do is complain to the seller if it wasn't mentioned. Yellowing/discoloration is pretty obvious even for a Lego novice, so it should have been mentioned. It's caused by the bricks being in sunlight. Not even bright direct sunlight. White & light grey are the worst for it. Is there any way to recover these back to white?
To fix, Hydrogen Peroxide and sunlight. Yes, the same sunlight thing that causes it, fixes it (apparently). Here's a vid, I like Jang, he knows his Lego stuff:

Disclaimer, I tried this process once with some very, very yellowed bricks white bricks and whilst it made a big difference, it didn't work perfectly for me. But it was just a few bricks in a very small chinese takeaway tub to see if it worked, and on a day that was somewhat more overcast than sunny and I only tried once as I'm lazy and just bought new ones.
Sorry, I've probably not helped at all!

Spaceship!
Bought a 3D printer, after printing the wall mounts for everything, there was only one logical next print
Yes I changed a few of the colours and it is a little rough in places whilst I figure out the settings, overall happy with it though.
A thought has just occurred to me, I haven't bought the big mini figure kit, but if they release on as the space mini figure, especially with a cracked helmet () I'd be all over that!Bought a 3D printer, after printing the wall mounts for everything, there was only one logical next print

The kit is from Game of Bricks. If you look on their website,it gives you a better vid. Wire are very thin and fidely, but just take your time it;s fine.Iv,e got the rempt one and you can make all the lights, flash, dim.blink ect. Last pic is a video if you click on it.

March ‘24 Speed Champions wave now done. A few new elements and build techniques, lots of stickers! As always they look better in hand than on the box.
BMW set ordered. Not cheap at ~£45 mind!

See i am in 2 minds if to buy another. My brother is the head mechanic for a race team and one of the BMW drivers is his driver. He could get it signed for me which would be great but im more worried about the box being damaged in transit so unsure if to bother.Gassing Station | Scale Models | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
