They tweeted about the box saying their standard bag wasn't big enough for it, so had made a special outer carton with wheels on so you can get it back to your car. I'm presuming this is available everywhere and as it's such a one off thing for this set it might become quite collectible.
Milton Keynes told me that all of the store allocations for preorder and launch day was all taken by 10 this morning. That have no idea when they will get more and are not running a waiting list. The display model looked very impressive.
They are also out of Apollo rockets and are not expecting them this month for toss still hunting one of these down.

Yeah I popped in there over lunch yesterday, glad I managed to get one online yesterday, but I've no idea when it'll come off backorder. Some people on Reddit are saying they called customer services and were advised it would may be November. Can't see it being that long if the official release is the 1st of October, unless they plan on launching with no stock. They are also out of Apollo rockets and are not expecting them this month for toss still hunting one of these down.

LEGO have already announced that they are not going to have stock for the official Oct 1st release. Apparently my M.F. order has a status of "In Warehouse", whatever that actually means!
No idea when it is likely to ship though ....
The ordering process was a real pain, what with the servers going very slow at 7.30am, then the Lego ID bit crashing such that it kicked you out. Luckily, the Lego site didn't lose my M.F. already in the basket and it let me finish the order around 8.30am (!)

Desperately wanting to get hold of a Saturn V but not paying inflated prices for them. Is there any way, as a normal human being with a life/job, to get notified when they come back in stock?
Lego have been their own worst enemy with sets that appeal to AFOLs, demand seems to be massively outstripping supply which is just driving more to buy as investments etc, making the situation even worse for regular folk who just want one to actually build and enjoy.

Make sure you set it to english.
It's a mostly dutch website but if you register and set up a watch for 21309, then it will let you know when they are in stock online at Lego (it checks lego NL but it's the same stock as Lego uk as far as I can see) Brickwatch is actually excellent for finding the cheapest Lego in Holland.

The Lego shop in Leeds had some in this lunch time. Might be worth checking out your local Lego store if you are near one?Lego have been their own worst enemy with sets that appeal to AFOLs, demand seems to be massively outstripping supply which is just driving more to buy as investments etc, making the situation even worse for regular folk who just want one to actually build and enjoy.
