I got the Saturn V for xmas, what a masterpiece!
Likewise here! I'm only just home today from the festive rounds, so it's going to start coming together to join the Curiosity rover and Apollo manuals I grabbed off Kickstarter last year. ETA: No idea why thumbsnap insists on loading mobile photos sideways...

Did not take long to build the rocket. Looks good but need a shelf to put it on..... I can see it being knocked over if left on the end!
Anyway, much to my Mrs dismay, I have dug out the Eiffel Tower from the loft. I broke it up when we moved.....level one done!
Funnily enough that’s exactly what it did while I was building the display stands, fortunately it was stood on the carpet! 😂Anyway, much to my Mrs dismay, I have dug out the Eiffel Tower from the loft. I broke it up when we moved.....level one done!

I predict some minor mods coming along... whilst trying to stay within the significant and obligatory 1969 parts total.

Built the Lego caterham over Xmas, bit of a loss what the front arms do they don’t connect to anything as far as I can see?
Hide just behind front wings.
Built mine yesterday! I guess the rods are meant to look like track rods but without connecting to anything?Hide just behind front wings.
It's been a busy week for Lego with the Saturn V and Women of NASA sets done too....

This is obviously non-technic lego but may not appeal to everyone. Anyway my folks cleared out their loft recently and found a box of all our old Lego Castle sets from the late 80s/ early 1990s, as well as a lot of space stuff from before then that I haven't looked into yet.
Quite a few complete (or nearly) sets some of which I've put together.
I had forgotten how much I liked lego and now have an overwhelming desire to start collecting the mass of Castle sets I never had (although prices might hold me back!). Anyway, an incomplete list:
6067 - Guarded Inn (not built)
6066 - Camouflaged outpost (like this set but think pieces might be missing)
6077 - Forestmens river fortress (can't find the base board and maybe other pieces missing)
6034 - Black monarchs ghost (missing bits I think)
6057 - Sea serpent
6016 - Knights arsenal
6012 - Siege Cart
6023 - Maidens cart
6039 - Twin arm launcher
6081 - Kings mountain fortress
6054 - Forestmens hideout
6038 - Wolfpack renegades
6075 - Wolfpack tower
6011 - Black Knights treasure (bit broken)

Little Miss E24man and I finished her Saturn V yesterday; a great model to look at but I think let down by the white Command Module on the finished rocket not having the same printed markings as the grey re-entry Command Module, and also not easily able to detach the white Command Module from Escape system above it to then reverse and re-attach it to the Lunar lander.
I haven't seen the Lego Saturn V up close so I may be missing the point, but on the real launcher, the CM on the pad is covered by the white Boost Protective Cover (BPC) attached to the Launch Escape Tower. Its purpose is to protect the CM during the early part of the launch, and during any Escape Tower rocket firing. The CM under it was covered in metallic looking mylar.Does anyone know what the technical name for the expansion boards and connectors that light my bricks use? Or have a link to an equivalent product.
It looks a much neater solution than my current wiring but they are very expensive kits for what they are. I already have the LEDs and battery holders.
thanks

Half way through the Saturn V build my wife kindly bought me for Christmas. Started work on it on boxing day, the benefit of having so little free time is that it really stretches out the fun of the build!
Fantastic build so far, some really clever ideas that I'd never think of when messing around with a box of bricks.
