Currently in stock at John Lewis
I have had only bad experience with John Lewis lego and their website's claimed stock levels!

Most recently had a right battle with them just before Christmas with a click and collect order that simply never made it to the store. Then they immediately went out of stock so I couldn't get it resent, so had to be refunded and was surprisingly challenging to achieve, given the audit trail of where they'd sent the lego just went dead on their side. Would have to be a really good price to get me to risk John Lewis on lego again.

For those of you who haven't managed to get a Falcon, a guy I know at work recently offered me his set but since I already have one & the woman will kill me if I bring home a 2nd so I thought I'd check on here if anybody fancied it?

He's asking around £850 for it, new in the box & is based around Oxfordshire (not sure if it's collection or drop off)

Or save yourself £200 and setup a stock alert at John Lewis who appear to be getting stock each day. https://m.stockinformer.co.uk/checker-lego-millenn...

LEGO Creator Expert 10253

£150 instead of £180 at John lewis.

Worth it?
Or the bus for £99.

I am taking a fancy for the Architecture sets lately.
Anyone got any? And are they worth the price?

I have loads of Architecture sets and I love them, there are a few pics further back of my "studio" creations. I love the white bricks !

Some of the older sets are great, I have falling Water, the UN building and the Trevi fountain, also every one of the skyline sets they have ever made.

I picked this lot up off Ebay for £20! - seemed like it was too good to be true. I'm going to try and bricklink the missing plane parts and some of the other more completed sets and use the rest for parts.

The police boat hull has gone straight in the bath with my 3 year old and we're working on a pirate ship with the other ship parts. biggrin

Mine is in the loft, but about a foot high and deep. A bit narrower.

Ecto-1 fits in 'to scale'.

My eldest is looking at offloading his old lego - besides the Technic Le Mans racer and pick up truck, nothing is complete, no boxes etc - just a plastic crate full of bits.

There's a fair bit of Ninjago stuff in there, a couple of smaller Star Wars and DC Heroes stuff. but the rest is just plain city/creator stuff. What's the going rate for job lots, and what affects the value? Do baseplates and things like boat hulls have any better value?

There is some of my really old lego from the early 80s amongst it, but I'm guessing there is little extra value in that?

It'll definitely fit front to back and width. Shelves are adjustable so you can make sure it fits height wise too...

You may even be able to get it in on the diagonal so you can have the side door open and see the interior.

I'd suggest firehouse/ecto-1 on the bottom shelf, vw and mini on top, then perhaps Simpsons House in middle? That's a great set too - almost perfect replica of the cartoon.

That depends on what the 80's stuff is. Vintage castle sets can be fairly valuable, as can some of the space and pirate things. If you have instructions and time/patience it might be worth looking at sold Ebay prices of any sets you think you have to see if they're worth selling separately.

I'm currently looking into this too as our Lego collection grows. High up on the list are "Gratnells" tray units - they're used in schools/nurseries etc. Quality stuff, seems a more efficient use of space than the IKEA Trofast storage too.

Just a shame the racks only seem to come in Beech, but I'm debating building something from scratch in MDF to hold the trays instead.

Guys, any tips on where to sell a huge haul of late 80s and 90s lego? Roughly 3x 50 litre bins and random parts + a lot of 90s sets such as the police station, fire station, space centre etc and a ton of road base-plates.. It's all been in storage in my dad's loft for 20 odd years and he's encouraging me to get rid of it. I've also got a slew of recent sets (camper van, Unimog, mini etc) which I'd probably let go as well.

I'm never keen on ebay but it and/or bricklink seem the best options? I'd rather just get rid of everything in one go for one price than divy'ing it up but beggers can't be choosers I guess.
