Non Technic LEGO
Discussion
My recent build is a failry simple one. Its last years passenger train set. However it was IMO a bit lame as standard as it only has 3 carriages and can hardly carry any passengers.
I got another carriage and some pieces to make a proper trailing car. Also redesigned the inside of the motor car to make some seat space. Added loads more seating to the original 2 cars.
Small build but it has kept me busy while I am sorting out bricklink orders for my submarine build.

I wasn't particularly interested in the Mustang keyring so hadn't ordered it yet. Lego persuaded me yesterday with a free Speed Champion Mustang (the green Bullit one from last year) so I caved in. I haven't seen this mentioned on Brickset as a freebie though; has anyone else had the e-mail about the free green Mustang?

Looks like it's their current offer.http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2019/03/get-a-free-speed-...
I'd bite, but bought that set just before Christmas and finally got round to building it last week, so don't really need another.

Cheers - weirdly I couldn't see the offer on the Lego store online though it added to my basket automatically. A good deal, I'd say.http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2019/03/get-a-free-speed-...

How likely is it that the creator mustang will be sold by argos
Exceptionally unlikely. It hasn't stocked any of them previous Creator vehicles, from memory. I asked Jadlam if they would be getting them and they said no.

I was surprised to see that it had sold out on the website as there was quite a few in store.
This is surprisingly common with lego, the website is often out of stock but you can go down to the shop and get it. They seem to be virtually separate retail businesses. I was in Leicester Square shop yesterday and they had loads of this year's Christmas set (Winter Village Fire Station 10263) reduced to £67 (it's still £84 on the website).
Can confirm the £12.99 little car that people are mentioning above was being given away with any purchase over £65, not just the Mustang.
Mines on back order and cant wait!
On a separate note, does anyone know if the physical shops carry recently retired sets? Stupidity kept putting off the Mini Cooper and now it’s unavailable from the usual suspects and ebayers have gone nearly double its old selling price.
Annoyed with myself more than anything.

LEGO Ideas Steamboat Willie Set 21317 out next month
That's a hard pass for me at £80 The House of Mouse taking its substantial licensing cost share, I assume.....
WIll give that a miss, lego is expensive enough without having to pay Disney so much as well.

John Lewis seem to have an exclusive deal with Lego for most of the higher end sets you wouldn't normally see anywhere outside of a Lego Shop. I'm sure it will turn up at some point as they've had the other Creator Expert sets. Starfighter said:
I dipped out on the key ring as well. I complained to Lego on line and they apologised they had run out and gave me 200 points as compensation.
Would have preferred the key ring.
Funny - I got another mail from them too with 200 VIP points. But again - would have preferred the keyring.Would have preferred the key ring.
I posted this in Eurobricks but got no response.
I’m trying to build all of my and my daughters sets. I had most of my instructions still, but this ones driving me mad. I have a 1981 Lego book that has design ideas. I have all the pieces for this gantry crane, but can’t find the instructions online or in my house. Was it a rearrangement of another set? This is the only photo I have, from looking at all the sets, it has to be this. [url]
