Anyone had any issues with Lego orders shipping from the EU? I assume they are paying all the duties etc up front.

Very similar story to the Chinese Lantern Festival set, managed to get hold of one last night but that was on back-order and it's out of stock again now. It's like trying to get hold of a 30 series graphics card right now.

I know this does not answer your question exactly but I have just received non-Lego Lego from China with nil issues.

I have an order that just seems to have disappeared. It's only the freebie and another small item I bought with the land rover but that arrived around a week ago and the rest is just forever 'in transit'

They were a bit slow after Xmas, but I ordered the Blacksmith Shop on Monday, received the dispatched email today.

The SR cons round of voting is open for the 90th anniversary set theme. Lego members get 1 vote, options are

Bionicle
Classic Space
Pirates
Castle

Castle was added as they split the first vote to all the sub themes for castle. When combined the castle themes were top by a lot.

Bionicle? NO! It's got to be Classic Space, surely?

I wish I could vote "anything except Bionicle". Any of the other three have wonderful childhood memories for me. Bionicle passed me by.

Surely Bionicle is only there as a joke? Does anyone really remember it fondly?

Not really, no.

I'd like western sets, they were some of my favourite ones as a kid..

I realised I actually have a Bionicle set from 2001 - I always thought of it as an offshoot of Technic aimed at kids. Seems to have been important to Lego's financial success since the 1990s. If it was popular, it very much passed me by despite my stepsons having a few sets.
