The bits arrived(mostly)…I ended up with contrasting trees, which I don’t mind, Falling water is now complete

It's a nice build, you have the Guggenheim too, that's one of my favourite builds, I also have the Imperial Hotel, that was another cool build.

Birthday recently, sister got me the Bonsai Tree. Nice set, I like these new ornamental builds.

Went with cherry blossom as it's summer, putting a list together on Bricklink to do an Autumn version later in the year. I like that the instruction book even shows custom versions people have built..

It's cute but the frogs are a little odd.

It's quite funny that they used frogs isn't it laugh but from a few feet you can't really tell so it works I guess.

My youngest just finished his AT-AT. A cool model and great play toy with the various features. Not many things make me wish I was 6 again, but this does (the Millennium Falcon and X-Wing are nice things too. And OK, technically if I were 6 again these things wouldn't exist!).

Is that the latest one (75288)?
Ordered one from Amazon in their offer (£114) Thursday night, they cancelled it as unavailable Friday :-(

Impressive haul! I missed the first couple years of Speed Champions so I'm going to try to pick up unopened earlier sets.. There was a guy selling all boxes from one year (5 boxes / 6 cars total) for £170 + postage on eBay, I was tempted....

ETA: Has anyone seen that promotional F1 Speed Champions set? I think it's Mercedes AMG (different to the set that was available in shops), they're listed for £1k on eBay laugh

I saw that £1k set too...

I've got the Chevrolet set - I would have built it this weekend, but I was building the Technic Senna GTR and realising just how much I don't enjoy doing Technic any more. The Chevy set will be built this week some time - I deliberately didn't buy the other individual cars because my kids always ask what to get me for Fathers Day and 9 times out of 10, I've bought them all hehe

I made the McLaren Elva and K'egg at the weekend.
Brilliant sets, look miles better than the first few wider sets. Excuse crappy photo

It is. It was bought a couple of months back for about £120 IIRC

What is the obession with hiking prices 100% when a set is retired?!? Just gone to order the Architecture Shanghai set and found its been retired and now £80 everywhere despite there apparently still being plenty of stock about frown

Because there will be no more of them made. Simple really, although not what you want to hear I'm sure.

I'd buy one while you can, they'll only go up further as BNIB availability dwindles.

My question was slightly tongue-in-cheek because it seems there is plenty of stock around, they just decide to double the price on hearing the announcement. I'm not sure I can justify £80 for it, not like its a particularly involving build. Maybe i'll have to check out the L*pin thread hehe

I just ignore the scalping prices. If it was a model I’d really wanted, I’d have bought it whilst it was current.

Anyone else ordered three of the 3in1 Creator Castle so they can build the mega model where you join all three versions?

Not seen a photo of it, but Lego say it's possible, and there's SO much nostalgia with a Lego castle!

  • Edit, I ordered one, and then a second order for two more on a whim. They've immediately accepted and then cancelled that second order, so I guess the max of 2 is cumulative.

It's an appealing idea. Since it's a Creator 3-in-1 set, it'll be sold everywhere and doubtless available at a discount in a few months' time so wait to buy extra copies would be my advice.

That looks rather cheap (price wise) compared to say the Piano set. I know its a bit smaller. Looks a fair price to me.
Looking at the vid on Lego site it has some movement features aswell.
I,ll be adding that to the pile of boxes.
Thanks for the heads up.

I really don't "get" that typewriter. You can pick up a real one for a tenth of the price
