Argos have some good offers on at the moment, I got the ISS at 20% off
Hang on; Argos actually had Lego on offer AND in stock?! WTF....they're slipping.

Note - the ISS is a slightly boring build but it IS a fantastic display piece once done!

Edit: Ah no - true to form I see Argos are doing their usual fkery with orders; it tells you it's in stock for collection, you add to basket, go to process payment and THEN it changes its mind and cancels the transaction. At least they're consistenly the most st online buying experience I've ever had.

They have the Typewriter and BMW bike on discount....but you can't actually buy them.

Don’t disagree with the cr@p online delivery set up but both the typewriter and BMW are in stock at my local store.

Mine said in stock at my local store for collection - tried to pay and it changed its mind and cancelled the order. But then it said they're in stock near me in another store for collection - placed the order, gave payment details - and it was cancelled. Rinse/repeat.

WTF. Just tried it again and now I can collect from my local store. The Argos site is just nuts. Oh well, a couple of bargains had (eventually!) - thanks JamesTW.

I did the same thing. Does make you wonder whether they are coining it in knowing everyone will do this.

Mebbe. The saving on the trench run was a chunk more than the MF cost though, so fine by me. smile

It looks marvellously intricate - I used to be all about the Technic, but there have been a fair few recent non-Technic sets that look like they'd really scratch an itch... very tempted by the bonsai.

I’ve been buying a few recently. The Mandalorian star fighter arrived last week, I forgot that I ordered it a few months back and it was sent out when released

When you get round to the Imperial Probe would love to know how many bits you have left over. I had LOADS….as in, so many I took it all apart and rebuilt it to make sure I hadn’t missed a massive chunk. I hadn’t.

Not sure why I checked this thread... rolleyesirked

Just ordered Optimus Prime and Ecto-1. Put in my details to be informed when the Delorean is back in stock.

Already have a 1/18 model car 'addiction'. Can't afford to get properly hooked on Lego...

I brought a kit from Etsy, 4 shelves and brackets for £20.

Not just Lego in there, shelves deliberately don’t match to mess with peoples OCD smile

I need to fill the holes in the wall where the Saturn V used to mount.

I'm torn. I like this a LOT, but the presentation looks less fun and more display...

I'm still tempted...

Just completed the Death Star Trench Run. Managed to get it for £36.50 earlier in the week.

Great set if you like greebling. There were so many spare parts that I just added them to create extra details.

From twitter, making computer panel pieces with animated screens inside and capacitive touch on the studs for control of the trench run screen https://twitter.com/ancient_james/status/153400279...

It looks like the bricks are 3d printed then sealed together with the electronics into shape with resin.
