That was a good way to use £50-worth of Lego points! It's on its way... biggrin

I realised I should probably make a list of all the Lego I own, mainly for insurance reasons as I'd be hard-pressed to remember everything I have if I'm honest. I haven't yet dared put the rough purchase prices on the list. paperbag Probably best I don't think about it...

I probably "only" have about £1500s worth.

I try to keep it all out on display. Some kits I just don't feel any emotional attachment to, even if I enjoyed the build, so more than happy to have the money back and let someone else enjoy then for a while so i can get something else. Others I couldn't sell.

Which prices are we talking about here? What we paid, current market cost or what we told the wife we paid?

Damn you Lego ideas....

I do have a few kits dismantled and boxed up ready to sell... I also had about £35 off TopCashback to use...

Should probably strip down my Arocs or my mkii crane to sell too, to make some more space

Looking at that list I'd be surprised if you weren't in 5 figures tbh... hehe

I use Brickset to keep track of all the sets I have. While none of them is over the individual item limit for my house insurance, and the total value is well within the total contents cover limit, I wonder if an insurer would see it as a collection which needs to be declared and specifically insured?

I work I the nuclear industry, so I was particularly pleased with what my wife bought me today - Beaker holding a screaming Geiger counter…

I was half way through doing that for the same reason,(insurance) prompted by the wife. It probably is best you dont think about it!eek
I was gobsmacked how much it was. A (few) sets here, a (few) sets there.....UCS, Creator, modular, Technic etc.It was well into 5 figs.
I,m not saying that to show off or brag, or flex as they say on the reddit groups. But its suprising quickly how it builds up. I,am a normal hard working person, so not well off.
As others have said, your probably not far or into 5 figs aswell laugh

And i,ll be having that jazz band set aswell hehe

I have my collection on Brickset too, I'm at £14.5k. I really need to get some up on Ebay.

I've asked a couple of times on renewal and the ins co. seems happy enough.

Bear in mind Brickset just shows original RRP too. So I certainly haven’t paid the figure it shows (doubt it’s as much as 20% less though overall) but the value now may well be greater.

There’s also the issue that Brickset doesn’t have RRPs for older sets. Over 100 of mine aren’t in the total figure.
