Non Technic LEGO
Discussion
I have a few sets sitting and waiting to be built but wanted to get this one done.......

I was impressed by the set, especially the interior. Lots of detail and the NOS bottles are very cool. But tbh the reason I bought the set was that I saw the lighting kit available for it!

Pretty easy to do (bit fiddly round the lights) and looks awesome. Front and rear light LEDs, interior and underneath "neon" glow.

I am halfway through that build - I usually do it when my 6 year old son is building his LEGO models. I keep getting targetted advertising for the lighting kit, how does it work? Are there batteries/wires inside the car?[url]

I think it looks great but I can't get past the price...
This.Lego are really starting to take the p now, as they're seeing a lot of adult collectors getting involved.
...which is a massive bloody headache when it's your kid who's the main collector in the house. That's >2 years pocket money for the lad, and it's WELL out of birthday present range.

This one is much simpler, LEDs replace the front/rear lights, wires run under the car and out the back. Couple of stick on strips one inside and one outside. Plugs in to an external battery pack so it doesn't make it kind of display only if you fit them so maybe not great if your 6 year old likes playing with it.
Was only £20 and as my days of driving it around the sofa making engine noises are behind me it makes it kind of "grown up" (that's my excuse anyway!)

What’s the museum like?
We’re planning on a long weekend in Belfast later this year and it’s definitely on the ‘possible things to do’ list.
Never been to Belfast but really looking forward to it.

Titanic Museum in Southampton have a Lego thing going on at the moment, retired sets for sale there too. Surprisingly, as it's unusual to find a bargain these days, they had some Star Wars sets up for grabs comfortably below actual sold eBay prices.

I ordered it at the weekend from Lego, but being Lego they haven’t even thought about shipping anything. I rarely order direct, and I remember why now. They’re so sloooow!
I ordered the Defender 90 on Saturday, and have just had notification it should be arriving tomorrow. That's the quickest dispatch I have had from Lego, normally its at least a week.
Actually I have had two notifications for deliveries from Lego tomorrow, so wonder if the freebies have been sent separately.
