This could go into the TV forum but probably the more interested audience here.

Legomasters Australia season 4 finished up yesterday with some truly spectacular builds, as you'd hope with access to 3 million parts in the "brick pit". It's one on my favourite things to watch and highly recommended.

It's much much more competitive than the Legomasters UK from 2017.

Legomasters USA is not bad either and will start their season 3 in a month or two.
Looking forward to it being on here, Legomasters Aus series 2 I think was on recently, and US season 2 (I think) has just a couple of weeks left.

I was coming on to say the same thing - yes it's a reality TV show, but it seems to focus on the tension of building in the time-frame and celebrate friendships rather than nastiness/aiming for failure.

This latest season did show one contestant was a bit unpleasant, but that seemed to be bourne out by the other contestants avoiding her as well rather than pure TV editing (and even then the editing wasn't bad, just it was clear she wasn't happy-go-lucky).

If you have a VPN, the 4 seasons are available here: https://www.9now.com.au/lego-masters/season-4 and elsewhere too smile
If I recall there was a very unpleasant contestant on the first seasons of both US and AUS Legomasters, but yes, it's not the usual reality show, they really do seem to develop a bond of the course of the show, to the extent that hosts, experts and contestants get quite upset when a team is eliminated. Plus, the builds and challenges they face are fantastic.

I've just pre-ordered this via Bricklink / LEGO:

It won't be produced and shipped until spring 2023 though as it's one of the designer program sets.
Hopefully it’ll be finished by then.

Lego seems to have dialled that up recently...

To be fair they released a bunch of really decent Jurassic sets for kids at the same time (9 kids sets and 1 adult one!) which seems like a decent balance to me.

Lego actually had a bit of a battle to release sets under the 'old' Jurassic Park branding, Universal wanted Jurassic World branding on everything. I guess the success of those early JP sets has changed their minds a bit, but the releases are still heavily skewed towards the younger JW Dominion ones.

I bought the Jurassic Park one and my 7 year old saved up for one of the new Dominion ones, so job done as far as Lego's marketing dept goes!
Everything in our house is Jurassic Park/World at the moment for our 5 and 8 year old. Plenty of the newer JW sets are arriving in but it's nice to have some of the older JP designs and figures too. AliExpress is quite useful here!

Fabulous!

Very small for a 1000 pc set but much of it is 1x1

These Diorama sets don't do much for me to be honest, but I do like the little mud-splattered R2, I imagine he may be a valuable figure in a few years.

I like the look of them but only when they are free gifts. Too much money for 1x1

I’d say this one is worth every penny. Probably will become a proper collector piece I reckon

I've been watching some of the new releases and sneak peeks and things and so far nothing appeals - Optimus Prime didn't get my attention, the botanicals don't do it for me, the new train doesn't appeal and some of the other stuff (technic included) just feels a bit "meh". I'll get the speed champions cars, of course, but the only other things that grab my attention are the space sets and I'm not sure about those

On the plus side, it'll save me a ton of cash biggrin

If you don't have them already then Ecto 1 and the DeLorean are well worth a look.

Totally agree with you James. I used to buy approximately 2/3 sets a month but only bought 2 this year so far, which says it all to me.

I'm glad it's not just me who does that, although I've got to admit it is far easier to do on the cars without steering.

I did start making all my LHD Lego creator cars into RHD, but then I noticed that they had number plates from countries that were LHD. That made my OCD kick in and I had to return then to LHD!

The steering on ecto 1 wasn't that hard to change, but I couldn't get my head around the ejector door thing. I think I could have done it, but the effort Vs reward thing didn't stack up...

I've seen this in various Instagram feeds - It looks good, it's a fine piece of Lego construction, but it does nothing for me...
