Haven't checked into the thread in awhile, these are the latests deliveries over the past month or two...

Issue 34 & 35, in particular the 22nd Century Bird of Prey, were excellent.

Issue 36 & 37, both very very excellent. The Oberth class is big and the Andorian, while you could perhaps say is light in weight, is absolutely brilliant. I'm just stoked its yet another random ship design we've never had in any form, same goes for the Vulcan and 22nd Klingon BOP from last month.

Not overly fussed on the next two issues, Delta Flyer and Romulan drone, but both look good models.

Yep, I'm still in. If you love ships this is still just the best thing ever to happen with the Trek licence.

There have been some absolute corkers, Centaur, Saber, Steamrunner, Fortunate. Really top rate stuff.

Currently waiting on the Kelvin special issue. Must admit the next few regular issues aren't particularly exciting (Borg tactical cube is a bit yawn) but looking forward to the Norway class which is coming up.

Really looking forward to the shuttle set, even after the cock ups around it going on sale (still waiting for the email with the code, luckily with twitter it doesn't matter it still hasn't arrived).

I really want that shuttle set but not being a subscriber it's almost impossible to find out when it will be coming out and available for sale!
Its available to buy (well order) now for everyone and should be shipping the end of October early November.

In the end it was never a subscriber exclusive, the discount code was widely circulated on twitter and forums. 'SHUTTLES' for £20 off.

Will I automatically get these as a subscriber do you know? I don't recall seeing anything in any of the boxes about it. And I'm not a twitter person.
No, strangely, you have to manually order (I've never even registered for the webstore until the shuttles) for this set and the new commissioning plaques.

The saga went like this. Originally subscribers were meant to get an email link to the store with a code (SHUTTLES) for £20 off. The code never got sent by email but was widely circulated on the EM Facebook page. The stock system couldn't cope with so many orders and some people couldn't order and some people got baskets full of 5, 6, 7 sets and charged for it. A few hours later it all calms down and now as far as I know its all working fine.

Link is here; https://shop.eaglemoss.com/star-trek-the-official-...

Whole thing was handled a bit weirdly but they should be out by the end of the month. Code is valid for about that time so use it sooner rather than later as the full whack of £75 feels like a lot of money for these!

I've given up trying to find these now as they've slowly disappeared from every newsagent and WHSmith store that used to stock them. The last I managed to find was the TOS issue 50.

I think the only ones left that I'll be interested in are the Relativity and the NX-01 refit but I don't hold out much hope. Ordered a bunch through the eaglemoss site earlier in the year but it took weeks for them to arrive and the Xindi insectoid ship was broken.
No local WHSmiths to me stock these anymore. However because I buy extra ones every month to sell on or for extras for me a newsagent near my work have stuck with the collection and sells whatever he gets in to me and another local collector. My advice if you want specific issues, ask a newsagent, they can pick and choose orders and will get them in faster than the EM store.

That being said I have a friend who only orders from the online store (for some reason EM aren't taking any new subscribers, which is really odd) and although they are slow he gets everything in the end if it gets restocked. (He just got the Steamrunner this last week).

Really looking forward to the NX Refit.

Thanks have ordered. Strange, I never got an email for it. Also odd that they didn't include some sort of advertising in the box with the subscription models.

I also have another question you might be able to answer.

I subscribe and signed up for the special editions. I see the Kelvin is on the website, should I have received this already?
https://shop.eaglemoss.com/star-trek-the-official-...

I also see there are a number of plaques:
https://shop.eaglemoss.com/star-trek-the-official-...

Should these have been included as the special edition subscription, as I've not received these. Again, haven't seen any marketing for them either. I thought signing up to auto receive the special edition items, I would have got these?

Actually, this is my biggest gripe with the subscription. I pay via PayPal, but there is no detail to what the transaction is relating too, so there is no way to know if you are missing any, or even if they've sent out all the things they've taken money for.
The Kelvin payment was taken about a week ago and was in the shops (if you can find any that still stock it) last Thursday.

Subs people get theirs with the next delivery, so I'm expecting mine Friday or Saturday (I always get my monthly delivery the weekend before the first of those two issues is due for release).

As for the plaques, no, these aren't part of the automatic opt in for the regular specials. You have to order from the webstore.

Regarding marketing, the shuttles and the plaques haven't been advertised outside of the FB group and on Ben Robinsons twitter account. The Trek Collective posts info on their news blog thing, but thats about it, the rest is spread through the various trek forums. There haven't been any flyers for any of them.

The way I keep track of the payments/deliveries is that for the debit card transaction the payment of £20 or so goes out on the Tuesday one week before the release date of the first of the two issues in the delivery. So my payment for this months delivery of issues 58 and 59 came out yesterday and in theory 58's release date is next Thursday. If that makes sense.

The payment for the special tends to vary, but normally that one is a few days before its release date so different to the usual issues but only slightly.

And if you think we have it bad you should see the US problems!

I had no idea about the shuttles. That really is poor organisation to not slip something in the box to let the subscribers know about them. It must have lost them thousands of sales.
To be fair they were literally only confirmed for the UK with a price last week, I would expect a flyer in the next subs delivery or the one after.

I'm still in, and will be until the bitter end. Its been confirmed that they will go to 110 issues, although at the moment we only have confirmed names and numbers up until issue 76 (so July). I'd expect to hear soon what the next batch of issues will be.

If you want to keep track this site has an excellent page (I'm sad so have every Thursday release in my calendar); http://www.thetrekcollective.com/p/star-trek-offic...

The latest subs delivery of the Fighter/Breen/NX-Refit was a cracking one. The NX-Refit as mentioned is really the best they've made since it started.

There is a new separate collection now too..... The Star Trek Discovery collection

Each ship is larger (and way more expensive at around £45) and it's only one ship a month, shipping starts in Feb 2018 but you can sign up now and get the first ship for £9.99
Its £29.99 a month. But yes, each ship is larger and roughly in line with the specials/jumbo issues. So its either an expensive special (normally £22.99) or a cheap jumbo (normally £49.99).

I'm starting that subscription, but I will dip out if the choices get rubbish. Certainly the Shenzhou (spelling?) and Discovery itself look worth the price.

Normal collection has been extended to 150. We are literally getting every ship worth noting (and some that aren't) by the end. So cool.

I'm not getting the new subscription as I don't know if I actually like the new series yet, but to be fair there have been a couple of dud ships in the current collection so I may change my mind later
Personally I'm not a massive fan of the new series so far, feels messy and although some of the acting talent is very fine I'm just not seeing very much compelling so far.

However a starships a starship, so I'm in. biggrin

Sadly these new Klingon ships from Discovery don’t look great on screen though.
Oh I agree. They look awful, but I think I might dip out before they come in full force.

I think the running order is Shenzhou, Discovery, New BOP then Kerala type, or roughly that. Europa is fairly early on also, so I might just have to suffer the Klingon stuff to get the 'new' Starfleet ships.
