Right, two personalized Bugatti EB 16.4 Veyron models. In scale 1:18. One with a fixed head and on Grand Sport Vitesse. Later they will be joint by a Super Sport WRC Vitesse.

The base models. One AutoArt and the Vitesse is a MR Collection. Sourcing these models has been quite a challenge.

The interior of the Vitesse was beige and now black. The other went from grey to dark blue.

Painted!

Ready and waiting for a new display (still to finish).

What do you do if you have not got the correct wheels in stock!?

3 options. Try to source them as replacement parts. Buy a model that has the right wheels. Or have them 3D designed and printed.

Mostly it takes quite a bit of time and money.

A perfect birthday gift for someone who has restored a Lamborghini Miura.

This the base model. Nearly perfect only the colour is slightly different.

Out with the old interior.

New one in (bit of the real leather underneath)

Chrome for the window trim

Wheels in grey, small plate and ready to go.

The real car in the insert

Love the Lamborghini Miura, what was the base model, looks like it could be an Anson? Leather seats look fantastic.

It is a Kyosho. Much, much better and more detailed then Anson.

I've got a model which was butchered by its previous owner - among other things it has been brush painted, twice! I'm stripping the paint off it at present and the rear screen is damaged.

Any ideas how to make or source a replacement please?

Very difficult to get parts like that. What model is it?

Oh right, yes I know Kyosho are much better quality, I wouldn't have the confidence to take apart an expensive Kyosho!

1/18 Ferrari 599 by Hot Wheels.

I'm wondering whether I can use the old one to make a mould, or whether to just put it back in in its distorted state.

Try to make a mould and see how that turns out. If the pold one has scratches you can try to polish with car car polish. Please not that any paint and such will disappear.

Yes I have, all your work is amazing! I can imagine how much an MR model would cost to buy, so a bit risky unless you know what you are doing! I suppose you get more confident taking a model apart once you've done it a few times, and puting it back together again. I collect Lamborghinis so they have a special interest for me.

It is but you still have to add the details of a rear window. Heating, matt black edges. So easier said then done, imho.

You're giving Hot Wheels a hell of a lot of undue credit there. Even though it's an Elite, the windows are plain and flimsy plastic, with nothing by way of added detail other than some painted on black lines which represent the surround and some structure. I'm thinking about doing a cut and shut on it to be honest, using the black line to mask the join.

This is the real Porsche 911. A T-model with a Targa roof.

The base model is an AutoArt 1964 Porsche 911 (diecast). The Targa roof is from a GT Spirit curbside model. Both scale 1:18.

After a splash of Platinum Metallic paint.

Draw the decals and had them printed on an Alps printer.

Added different seats and steeringwheel.

And Fuchs wheels.
