I hope you are enjoying this as much as I am doc
It is quite stunning to see the detail coming to life
Yes thanks I am enjoying it a lot. It's the kind of model you can dip in and out of in between other builds. It is pretty complicated, so there are a lot of times when you can pause and see a decent bit of completed sub-structure, which gives an incentive to do more. It is quite stunning to see the detail coming to life
Glad you like it so far.
Final few bits to fit: Made the lifeboat cover retaining lines with EzLine, also scrunched the flags up a bit. The small grey things are pulley blocks, the otter boards need securing behind the net hawsers, there's a radar reflector, and then there's a small lamp on a rope (I've given up trying to use the correct nautical terms) -

Jesus! I was expecting it to be 3 feet long!
Made one of the millenium Falcons from that link a few pages back over the last few weeks.
Ditto. Are you sure you're not a doctor in xenobiology? With three inch x20 self-magnifying eyes, hands ending in microscopic tendrils and a close relationship with men in black suits?Made one of the millenium Falcons from that link a few pages back over the last few weeks.
Oh, look at the ... zzzt....

Aha, doc rolls out the oversized 'one quid bit' again
He gets 'em from a foundry oop north you know
but in a more serious mood, yet another one cracked brilliantly doc
I'll be joining in watching the lad making the Falcon
nice one
Ta very much. We have been sidetracked a bit on the modelling front: the boy is currently on a paint by numbers Puffin for his bedroom wall, and Im on DIY. After that, we will be back...He gets 'em from a foundry oop north you know
