I set up nearly everything I have got last night, my lad loved it but it needs some cleaning on the connections, the same few corners would always cause the cars to stop and you could see some arching in the connection, I need some more tight corners so I can create an infield section
This reminds me of micro machines game on the pc from the 90s. Well done. disastra98 said:
As you like Pioneer I thought you may be interested in this, not sure how good the discounts are though and you may have them all anyway:https://www.sp-collectable.com/boutique/catid/prom...
Some recent purchases.
I’ve wanted the modern Italian Job ones for ages but they’re always £35 - £45 each. Managed to pick this unused complete set of 3 as a batch on eBay for £82. They were also local so I was able to collect.
Bought a pair of race ones recently as well.
I quite fancy the old school Italian Job set from 2009 but not sure I can stomach the £150 they go for.

The old school classic minis are on eBay currently with separate boxes for £27 each. Red, white and blue I’ve wanted the modern Italian Job ones for ages but they’re always £35 - £45 each. I had the 1275 GT mini set with my brother. Also. I had the escort found it hard to get it to go fast was heavy even stripped out!, But the best car was the Datsun. Stripped out the interior and glass, cut rear arches and put big F1 tyres on rear, it was fastest car by miles on everyone's track, back in the day!Sold all my kit at car boot as ex had no room or time for my hobby, one of my biggest regrets still is marrying ex and selling my sets and cars, all to buy the fat lazy lump Sunday lunch at the local! Rant over

.... buy all the cars you had and the ones you wish you could’ve had as a kid. I did
then before you know it, you are £4k down and wondering where to store them all
Oh yeah leave a bit of space for the new tamiya rc car collection though
I just keep sneaking in another shelf or book case when the wife is not around for my ever expanding car collection.
Not far off now though of running out of wall space for shelves but if I turn the boxes around to face front that opens
up plenty more space.

Lovely collection, any pictures of rare and/or early models? Not far off now though of running out of wall space for shelves but if I turn the boxes around to face front that opens
up plenty more space.

Pioneer Camaro and the white Charger are both 2 of less than 80 cars made and released.
Black Charger is a low number limited dealer edition with a red stripe and interior I think around 250 made maybe.
Opel GT both a limited run of 1000 each.
Carrera limited edition release cars. Higher number than the others but still hard to come by.
I am sure there are few more Scalextric cars that are low production cars will have to have a proper check through.

I also have those escorts the minis I also have but as a box set. I used to have a fair few of scx cars as well but they were sold paying towards a divorce solicitor.
My collection is smaller now with mainly 90’s and early 2000 models. When I first started work I would buy 2 cars every week hopefully choosing some future rare versions. If interested I’ll dig a few out and share some pictures.
I think my best rare car is a yellow German market ford gt40 sport version but I may have a few that are not so pretty but just worth a few quid
