Bought the Lepin Orange GT3RS via H&H great service .A couple of parts missing in the end but got posted out within a couple off weeks .Just put all the orange bits in a tray and likewise all the other colours .I was lucky and had a manual given to me off the original Lego one and on the back a detailed list off all the parts and how many along with an illustration did help and you get 1 page per section unlike Lepin 10 or so on one page manual is 239 stages .I am thinking of buying a White one to do over the winter nights .It took me a good few weeks to complete but in no hurray ,some of the gearing was sticky but as it sits in a Perspex cover £26 from a local maker it doe's not matter if it all works .
Enjoy the build

Built a Lepin one several months ago, gears were stiff but worked ok. Quality of parts was fine, just had one mis-shaped part, and one missing part.
You could follow the suggestion on this thread if you're worried the gears may not be smooth:
https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

You can download the instructions from Lego's site
https://www.lego.com/en-us/service/buildinginstruc...

Few useful fixes/changes you can make:

Thanks to all the responses. I completed the Lepin 20001 version (the Aliexpress dispute on Lepin vs Decool is on-going).

Overall impressions on Lepin (I have big 3 Legos - MKII, Volvo excavator and AROCS; this is my first substitute- Lepin):
a) The build is painful and challenging at times - courtesy also due to not knowing which bags (from 42 bags) to open when frown
b) After build, the car is BEAUTIFUL and HUGE (The Youtube videos do not do full justice).
c) Missing pieces information - Since a Lepin set was sent to me, I did not get the Name tag/ product tag. From the seller, I think I got 2 pieces less (one important orange piece from a cosmetic angle). I replaced it with another colour from older set.
d) Would I recommend this set to another person (after 3 expensive Legos) - Most definitely yes.
The price difference for me - considering that I do not break and remake the sets is huge.

And this is a wonderful community smile

Has anyone heard any news of the lawsuit in China that was supposed to be last month in September?
I know this is the thread for non sensitive types smile I've not purchased any rip off sets yet but have come very close a couple of times....

But.... Do you think these Chinese cloners have a chance of really hurting Lego ?

Do you think they would put money into designing new sets if they put Lego out of business ?

I ordered the Lepin Cinderella castle from H&H on Sunday as its the one thing my eldest has been going mad on since she saw one.
She is getting it for a xmas present.
They shipped it by DHL and it arrived yesterday. Now I am slowly going through the huge box of pieces to make sure that they are all present and correct.

I am about half way through the checking of the contents and so far there are only a few minor bits that are missing/wrongly moulded.

The lepin build manual for the Cinderella castle is quite impressive & I can see that the build is going to take my eldest quite some time.

Cool, that's who I've bought my previous Lepin builds from, I checked their store recently and it as "Pre-sell", though I now see a number of sellers have it as "actuals" which I think means they have it in stock. So I'll be ordering my Xmas Present in the next week or so then. smile

Interesting that the Lego version of the new UCS MF is 7541 pieces, but the Lepin version is listed as 8445 pieces, so 904 pieces extra!

Of course, it's Lepin, so that could just be to cover the amount of potential missing pieces! eek

Well its arrived - thats a lot of "Lepin"...........although as always was squeezed into a tiny postage box. Shipped from HK last night - delivered to me today.

Usefully the bags appear to be numbered 1-17 which matches the bags on the instructions, a lot of sorting out and 1379 steps to go.

the instructions are an A3 spiral bound "book" - i think this may well take a while.......

Any chance you can do a few step-by-step posts please? Just how it's gone, any problems etc.

Just ordered my Lepin UCS MF from Gelida, hopefully the delivery will be as good as my previous purchases. At 1/4 the cost of the Lego version it's a no-brainer for me.

Will be interesting to compare delivery times, can you post up when it arrives (and I'll do likewise).
Cheers

First, (a bit out of date - since I only got around to building the thing a few weeks ago) in June I ordered the Red Five X-Wing UCS from lepinbricks (note lowercase letters). Had a very quick reply confirming it was Lepin and it arrived in one week. No missing pieces (in fact came with 8 extra white 1x6 tiles - interestingly listed on a parts list I found on-line - but not on the official Lego list, and a little bag that seems to include a few extra pieces that also came with the official lego set). All went together without any problems (including a perfectly fitting canopy/cockpit that a couple of reviews I saw on-line say does not fit...). Looks great - even swmbo likes it! Cost €59 - current Bricklink price around €250 p&p incl.

A couple of weeks ago I ordered the Tower of Orthanc from H&H. Quick reply to my query regarding no mini-figs being in the photo (it's deliberate to avoid complaints from Lego) and confirming it was Lepin. Arrived in one week with no missing pieces (all the mini-figs) except that Saruman ended up with two right arms. The sticker set was just in the box, rather then inside the instruction book, so was a bit creased. Still building it but going together without any problems - good clutch power, no warped pieces, etc. Cost €69 - current Bricklink price around €200.
