The LEPIN "LEGO" for non sensitive types
Discussion
As promised heres some pics and thoughts about the Lepin Sopwith Camel.
Its my first Lepin Purchase. Ordered Feb 1st from "lepinbrick Store". Arrived with me on the 8th Feb. Fantastic quick turnaround.
Came in the usual brown package, no proper box, just lots of bags with random parts in it.
Under the smiley faced label, top left, is the Lepin logo. Also included a nice Giraffe brick seperator
So started the build. Took me only a couple of hours to do. The worst bit about it was the string.
If you are buying this I would definately go out and purchase the parts from bricklink or from lego themselves.
As you can see the string and the round brick should be fused together, but the Lepin ones come seperate and you have to tie them together. The little hook is very flimsy and tying the string is very difficult. A few of them stapped off.
This also made the string shorter than needed.
This meant I had to buy the string from lego (8 in all) for just less than £20, take the plane apart and put the new ones in. The long flat pieces for the wings do seem a little flimsy, but without comparing to the lego version , I can't tell if they would be any different.
Was quite hard to tell the black, dark grey and Dark Green pieces apart in the instructions, but apart from that its a lovely build. No pieces missing, stickers were fine, a little bit crumped, but from a distance don't look too bad.
As you can see, she's quite a big build. The wing span is very big.
Some nice detail in the cock pit and the joystick works the wing flaps, front and rear. Mine is abit stiff and the top comes off the joystick when moving it. This could be after playing around with the strings.
Well worth the money I paid plus the string. Great build. Looking to get either the Mini, Camper or the VW Beetle next

Ordered the new Ucs Millennium falcon today, the one with 8000 bricks, Have a unbuilt older version sitting here. Has a few custom parts also proper sticker for the display plate. Will be selling as soon as the new one arrives incase anyone is interested. £100 + shipping.
Hi fella, did drop you a mail re this, did you receive it?J
Dove in with a Lepin set for my boy for xmas, and picked up the Nexus Knights Jestro volcano castle thingy.
I've now got a box of bags which are, as expected, unmarked and we've not quite had the balls to open them up yet. Need to clear the table first as I don't think it's going to be especially easy to find the bits.
Will keep you posted on progress

I built the Lego version at Xmas 2016, I don't envy you building it with unmarked bags!!I've now got a box of bags which are, as expected, unmarked and we've not quite had the balls to open them up yet. It looks great! I ordered mine on February 3rd from "Elimi Company" and the tracking details say it's still in transit at country of origin! Not such a good turnaround...Its my first Lepin Purchase. Ordered Feb 1st from "lepinbrick Store". Arrived with me on the 8th Feb. Fantastic quick turnaround.

I've been looking to see if LEGO ever did a complementary model and I've found that they did a Red Baron Fokker Triplane - sadly no sign of a Lepin version....
