Started the F40.

Wow.

There’s a lot of bits

I’ve done about 7 hours today. Page 33 of 59!

That F40 looks good.

In mid March I ordered a DeCool Caterham kit (close copy of the Lego Caterham kit), and a version of the Lego Speed Champions Audi Quattro S4 - from yourwobb. Communication was good, I got a tracking ID fairly promptly - and was able to watch my post sitting at an airport (Shangai) for while, as the pandemic got going...

We (it was half bought as diversion for my 6 year old) did the Audi one evening. Good kit, I was surprised to see the stickers had been amended - Audi was Adui, etc. Other than that I wouldn't have guessed it wasn't Lego.

The DeCool Caterham has also been good, but say 98%, rather than 100%. A few pieces didn't fit as well as Lego would have, there was one piece that looked a bit like someone had melted it, and a couple of pieces missing. I've emailled off and hopefully i'll get them sent out.

However - i'd still say it was worth the price - £25 all in (including the delivery), so not a lot more than the Audi would have cost if I had got the Lego one!

The Official Lego one isnt a solid build by any stretch. Very fragile.
So wouldnt worry to much.

Anyone here bought a Saturn V from anywhere other than Lego? Thinking about getting it for my boy for a display piece for his bedroom

Inspired by this I ordered the F40 from joooooy on the 10th May, it arrived today! 10 working days under these conditions is pretty damn good. This will be my second model after receiving a DB5 from my PH Secret Santa, hopefully they’re on here so will know they’ve started something!

My Lepin Ninjago City arrived a couple of days ago. It's an absolutely monster. Would have bought the Lego one if they still sold it, but they're currently going for around £400 on ebay. Sod that.

It was great.. time to find the next one! I rarely switch off and getting some quiet time doing something like this gives me the opportunity. Plus I’d bought my son the small Lego version a couple of weeks back so we’re twins now!

Knock off Hogwarts, bought off Aliexpress "Mould King Store" for £125 (with and extra £25 of import charges on delivery) but I thinks it's a Lele "Justice Magician" not the new King/Queen brand.

Family lockdown build started last week of April without numbered bags a fair ammount of time was spent hunting parts but it's not like we were in a hurry.

Disapointtingly there are probably about 20 pieces missing, nothing that couldn't be worked around but added to the frustrating part search at times.

All in all a fun but at times very challenging build. I was pre-warned about how difficult it was to assemble the main tower sides and it really was one of the hardest build steps I've ever done. I think it could have been done diffferently and certainly I had to assemble in a different order with added supports to get it together.

I've just ordered the Saturn V on aliexpress, the first model I've ordered for 'me' in years. Just couldn't face spending £200 on the real one.

Just finished Ninjago City. Seriously impressed. 4800 pieces or so. Not a single one missing.

Which did you go for? I’m in a similar situation - really regret not picking one up when they were available and reluctant to pay £200+

Hi - could you send a link to the seller that you bought this from please? Looking to buy from aliexpress, but finding that site a bit of a mindfield

Sure, it came from joooooy after a recommendation on here. The guy has a busy Facebook group which he regularly interacts with and lots of positive feedback. Currently shipments are going out via air not boat/train at no extra cost - mine arrived in 2 weeks.
The sites slightly more expensive than you’ll find on ali, but for me it was worth the extra.
