The LEPIN "LEGO" for non sensitive types
Discussion
If built, I can't see anything lasting long in the post, and if some of the horror stories about tttish eBay buyers are true, getting a "built" model through the post in 500 pieces will be guaranteed to claim a refund.
Maybe gumtree and Facebook market place, for collection only. Might limit your market, depending on where you are, but saves packing it so securely it cost £50 to post!

It's not the busiest but this is the specific subreddit for selling non-lego bricks.

Little advise please, bought a Lebo Fiat 500 kit from yourwobb, got around 1/3rd of the way through and we're missing bricks left, right and centre. Must be about 20-30 bricks we've found so far, some of them impossible to use anything else (the door hinges).
I wouldn't of minded a few missing pieces but I'm a little disappointed so many are missing that we know of, possibly many more. What's my best plan of action?

Having seen the Titanic on this thread, I looked into Cobi and 5 minutes later I’’d ordered the Warspite from Bricktanks!
Really enjoyable build. I think I’ll go with the Belfast next before buying the German fleet. Bismark is out of production but hopefully I can pick up either a second hand set or find a seller with one still in stock.

That is what I started with. It is very wrong in terms of scale and details and so I couldn't finish there. I purchased a second one of those kits and rebuilt it from scratch to an approximate 1:150 scale which took almost all the blocks from both kits. There are also a lot of additional blocks added in order to get the details. The finished model is about a metre long.[quote=Scrump]Seems to be a bit of interest in warships at the moment so I thought some of you might be interested in this Type 45 model I built using the blocks from a couple of Cobi Armed Forces kits and a lot of additional blocks from Cobi, lepin and Lego.

Wow, that looks really good. How long did it take to build?

After I built the first Armed Forces kit that Ash posted a link to and was very disappointed with the result so I broke it back down and put it away.
Eventually I decided to have a go at building a model the old fashioned Lego way, i.e. using my imagination and to my own design.
A second Armed forces kit was purchased and it took me a few weeks (only working now and again) to construct the basic hull and superstructure to an approx 1:150 scale.
The details of the superstructure, sensors etc took far longer than I would like to admit.
It is in my office and for months afterwards every time I looked at it I saw details that could be improved so after a visit to bricklink that was sorted, only to show up another detail that could be improved and so on.
Pretty happy with now it looks now.
