This was a fun build. I would say the overall quality is similar to Technic. The instructions were generally good, although some steps were a little on the vague side.

The brand is Toysly. A friend got it for me as a Christmas gift and believe it was ordered from Amazon.

Thanks, looks like US only (based on a quick search!) so I'll have to put a purchase on hold until I can order in advance of my next trip Stateside!

Just about finished Buck Rogers Starfighter but I cant for the life of me figure out how the dish type brick in step 80 fits onto the end with the gray brick so you can attache the engine exhaust.

I think the instructions are wrong.

I binned a few pieces and replaced them to make it work

Has anyone found a copy of the UCS AT-AT yet? I've seen a few, but not sure if it's a proper copy or a re-packaged MOC?

there are some that look to be "genuine" but pictures are easy to copy what you receive may be very different id also build with the genuine instructions

Yeah, that's why I'm currently struggling to find I trust to be a proper copy, rather than someone else MOC, I know the Cavegod one was the best you could get, but Bipolarkittens (PH'er) had issues with stability and strength when he built that one and I don't want to get the wrong one and find I have a similar problem. However, I refuse to pay £700 odd for the genuine article.

Latest aliexpress build:

Porsche 917k

36$ cad plus delivery scale is allegedly 1:14

There were other parts available for extra funds to make it RC, but I like it as it is.

Oooh nice, I've had my eye on one of the 917 models for ages. What's the scale? Does it have a moving engine/gearbox at all?

edit:silly me, scale 1:14 as you posted.

The RC is a waste and spoils the appearance of some models interiors ,bought a Porsche 911 for £40 RC was £20

Yes I've been on the fence about ordering that from Ali for a long time now.

917

Or this

962

Or both...

Not sure on the 962....front wings look a bit flat and it looks like the 962 shape needs the windscreen shape to finish it off.

There are some superb MOC builds of all sorts of race cars - you've likely seen these : https://www.ausmotive.com/2014/10/20/incredible-f1...

I'm more into road racers, although a real oddball like a BRM H16 would be fun if done well.

THIS though. It's a new MOC and requires two F488 models for parts. eek
