Got it done. Them chinese bricks are quite hard on my soft and fluffy fingers.

The rear wheel because of the rear single swingarm is a bit wonky. The Dukat parts quality issue a believe...

Has anyone noticed that Lepin (or King or whatever) no longer seem to do full knock offs? Certainly not of the Star Wars UCS stuff it seems. Have they finally succumbed to the legal problems, or am I just not looking in the right places?

Not as rife as when Lepin first appeared, but still available.
Try this place for UCS clones, quite popular on the Reddit forums.
https://www.marstoy.net/collections/star-wars?spm=...

Or if you want UCS MOCS this place.
https://www.yourwobb.com/collections/star-wars-ser...
Hope thats usefull for you.

Those prices from Marstoy are amazingly cheap.

I've bought loads of Lepin in the past, but don't remember them being quite that much of a bargain. Nice find.

No worries Ash !
The marstoy link might be without delivery, might be why there cheaper.I'm not to sure now.
edit, just checked, yes need to add on delivery.
UCS Falcon with shipping £150 ish, about the same as i paid of Aliexpress about 5 years ago so no big difference.
But yes Yourwobb is always on the reddit forums and answers any questions very quickly.

CaDA seem to be making some moves recently with officially licensed builds.

I just bought the Mustang, DB5 and DeLorean from WISH, all turned up quickly. Built the Mustang on the weekend, one of the most fun builds I've done (last was the rather larger Star Destroyer). One key piece missing though which I need to sort. £150 delivered, or the price of the genuine Mustang. I found zero difference in the build quality (missing piece aside!).

I've got the Orca from Jaws, Alien figure and the blue GT5 in my cart - I noticed I get a bonus after signing in for 7 days, currently on day 3 so waiting to see how much it is biggrin. Really want the Alien APC but can't find a good one.

Thought I’d give the proper el cheapo TEMU stuff a go - this was 5days from order to build for the princely sum of £7

Went together very easily and no missing parts. The only downside was the instructions are via a QR code to a PDF so has to be viewed on a screen but that’s not the end of the world and helps keep costs down!

That feeling when you’re on step 73 of the Alfa build and you realise you fked up on step 9 and you need to start over.

I've finished step one, finding the instructions OK, but it's not always clear where a part goes, the red outline is sometimes very difficult to make out.

To be clear all my mistakes are down to inattention, but it’s definitely a bit trickier than a Lego build. I agree the red outline can sometimes be a bit misleading.

The other cardinal sin for me is that the stickers cover multiple pieces which makes it much harder to disassemble.

Still building my shuttle. Thank god all the parts are there cos some are pretty small / unusual. It’s a long (enjoyable) build (although I always take months)

Just finished the 911 as ordered from Joooooy.com. All good until on opening the last bag to realise I had tyres but no rims!

Let Joooooy know via messenger and they said they would send some straight away and they arrived within 7 days. Good service.

Just back from Washington DC, I got a cheap megablocks type set….its not great, and is not even centred on the base plate (teeth itch time)

It’s only 4 inches wide, 400 pieces approximately

It was only 12$….
