I found in my cupboard a Burj Khalifa which I actually bought form the shop at the Burj Khalifa when on holiday so I built that over Christmas, the parts are tiny tho even tho the model is a not bad size.

Purchased the McLaren F1 car from Aliexpress yesterday so awaiting that to come in the coming weeks.

Then for just €25 there was this “sports car” (yes I know what it’s meant to be) which is from a manufacturer called Sy Block and looks to be about the same size as the recent Lego Bugattis and McLaren. This one may be converted to radio-control too although the required modules are not included. Look to be interesting build techniques on the front wheel arches.

This one is done, and I must say I was very impressed with the quality (very Lego-like), clarity of instructions, and accuracy of parts packaging. Recommended.

(Blimey my floor needs cleaning!)

All the “1” bags of the CadF1 Sauber are done, so rear end and rear half of the chassis. So far so good, quality feels fine and no missing parts.

Any pics to share of the build would be good.

Sorry, was dark in our place yesterday, here we go.. rear wheels don’t really have negative camber, it’s a trick of the phone camera.

Second set of bags done on the Alfa, it’s a monster! A satisfying build with some interesting solutions on the suspension.

Bag 3 complete which was mainly floor, engine cover and cockpit area. Still really enjoying this, front and rear wings and side pods to finish.

No not at all. Certainly for the price/work ratio (100€/4 afternoons) it is brilliant, the quality is fine, the build is fairly solid (handling the aero needs care) and the final result is spectacular. Only some tricky connections on the sidepods but, considering all the unusual angles and orientations, not bad, probably partly due to failing eyesight and fat fingers smile . Also the wheels and stub-axles have to be aligned correctly to connect properly.

Here it is finished: Recommended.

That is truly spectacular. In terms of its design that looks up there with Lego products and aesthetically I prefer that to the technic Lego mclaren. I have seen the CaDa licensed AMG1 and that also looks incredible.

I bought this and others about a year ago. Only finished not long ago. It is one of the lower end pattern building blocks. I don't think there was much of quality control. Even mouldking looked better and felt better made.

Saw this in House of Fraser for £50 and as it is my birthday tomorrow I thought I'd treat myself. Box is massive.

Will post pictures when it is built.
