I bought a Lunchbox “for the kids”, then had to rebuild my Hotshot (rerelease).

Ramp mandatory.

Have also fitted a lighting kit to the Lunchbox, upgraded the body mounts and scuffed off most of the paint hehe

That lunchbox is awesome, I craved so much as a kid for one. I remember the school poser had one, think I must of been about 9-10 at the time and the kid that had reebok pumps, adidas torsion, nike air max when they first came out, well he was the kid with the lunchbox!

I had more bits arrive today for my slash and TRX6. Chose two sets of wheels for the slash as I have a polished concrete floor in the carpark of my building and it drifts perfectly on that surface. Just don't ever take it on tarmac as it doesn't like cornering on high grip surfaces at all.

Not so sure on the paint scheme though?

Is it a full body wrap, but applied to the inside?

Also why does it not have any window cutouts.

Just curious you see.

I know I posted the pic of mine earlier in the thred, but I couldn't help posting it again. Snap! Which beach was yours taken at?

And a classic:
Yes, they are great fun Ray. I find the stock steering setup is very very poor, but enough to get you sliding on the sand. After the plastic wing mirrors kept on snapping off I bought metal ones, and then bought metal wheels too, but the rest is all as Tamiya intended. The beach pictured is near Calais. I don’t know how you find yours, but it helps to have a vast patch of sand to drive these things on as it’s like steering a boat.

My soft office worker hands are currently not fully enjoying the serpent tools just yet!

Ah WERA, I’m another victim of the frivolous purchase thread...

I assume it is a hydrodip type affair applied to the inside. I do have a sticker pack for the windows but not 100% sold on putting them on yet.

What I really want is a cullinan body but can’t find one anywhere to butcher.

This post has moved along quite a lot since I started it, as has my collection.

Done a little more on the 6x6 today, wheels, brass, metal bumpers and slicing the original for better approach angle, new servo, and pointless piece of heavy stainless on the bed.

The grave digger is a 1/10 by Axial and the big one is a Losi DBXL K and N edition 1/5th scale, it’s huge and the loudest thing in the world.

I suppose this counts as RC? Well it is actually a Radio Control, instead of the model, but you know what I mean.

This was delivered today, another one of my impulse buys.

It’s the FlySky Noble NB4.

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect for less than £150 all in, but my god this thing is really nice.

It’s got a lovely heavy weight And feel to it, the screen and top is milled aluminium, as is the lower clip on battery.

The speed it turns on is literally less that a second, compare that to my Spektrum DX6R, which cost 5 times as much, and if I’m honest is a cheap and nasty transmitter, which I actually wish I had never bought.

Anyway here’s some pics of my Lovely new Noble NB4.

Even the package is a nice quality, it feels like an Apple product almost!

The led indicator bar, and the dynamic shape, really does make it feel like a prop from a Sci-fi Film, heck with the steer wheel out from it even looks like a Phaser from the original Star Trek!

It came bundled with two receivers, and they are pretty tiny, considering they are 4 channel too.

Very nice. What can you control via the screen? Presume trim and so forth with much greater precision than low-end stuff?

Cheers Bud, I’m really really pleased with this radio!

As it turns out it has a massive range of features and adjustments!

Check these out!

And my personal favourite is the way you can display the actual servo horn position, I can’t tell you how much that’s going to help with setups!

You can even set the middle ( ie parked/home ) Centre for each channel.

Another god send on Nitro cars where the centre can be hard to get right for tickover and then throttle cut too, but that’s also covered too, of course!
