Think it has disappeared from the classifieds... Was £250 w/o electrics and £350 with.
Seemed like a good price compared to what you see on ebay so no doubt sold.
They really do look great, though I was never sure they were really 'good enough' in terms of capability.
In other news, I bought one of these and it's brilliant!

More fun than my 2wd buggy, which is too good/ quick to really use outside of a proper track
I'd love to know how it performs against these claims...;)Seemed like a good price compared to what you see on ebay so no doubt sold.

LOL - Lets just say I couldn't pair the boat and transmitter by reading the instructions and had to go to YouTube
My dog went in with it and since I am one of these people who believes their dog is their child; one claim must be true!
In all honesty; I bought it as it seemed to be the cheapest of its type and was prepared for Chinese instructions/ complications.
However, despite the battery not lasting long (can buy a better one, cheaply) it really is an awful lot of fun and really shifts!
I'd say you'd need a pretty big space for it but we're lucky in having a lake right behind the house.

I used to race electric 1:10 scale off road stuff in my mid teens (about 1990 first at Kirk Hallam and then at Eastwood. (Oval and off road stuff) was sponsored my Mick Ward models for a while but got regularly beaten by a guy called Craig drescher (went on to be world champion and I believe still current test and development driver for team associate).
Had Team Associate RC10L, Schumacher Pro cat and either a top cat or cougar (one with the front shocks laid horizontal inside the chassis) can't remember which.
Some scrotes broke into my dads garage and all my stuff was in a beautiful wooden cabinet that my grandad hand made for me that would fit in the back of my dads van to keep everything together. tts took the lot (10 sets of batteries scr and scrc), 5 motors, 3 sets of electronics, 2 chargers a battery discharged. All the associated tools, shocks, spring everything. I just didn't have the funds or the heart to start from scratch.
Worst thing was seeing my grandads face when he learnt that something that had taken him weeks to build as a birthday present was gone.
Thiurghly enjoyed it and learnt a lot about electronics etc. Strangely enough let's me to do design and tech at school and a career in to avionics and electronics.

Love the Topcat.
Here's mine:
That's the one with the suspensions laid inside that I had. My brother had a cougar. Here's mine:
Many a great day was spent fixing or racing these things. I'm lucky in that there were 3 or 4 great outdoor tracks within 5 miles of my house and a couple of good indoor tracks for winter.
I've been playing about with making simple slideshows when building my vintage Schumacher racing buggies. Here's a couple for you:
Bosscat Works
SWB CAT

Here is my Rastar Mercedes-AMG G63:
It is 1:14 scale with a 2.4GHz radio control system. Of course it is not really designed for anything except indoor and light outdoor use but it's a shame not to test it off-road! I took it up a track in the mountains and despite the lack of suspension, limited ground clearance and hard rubber road tyres it went reasonably well. To see the model in more detail including a bit of off-road testing, google search "BlackSeaRC".

I always keep wishfully thinking I should take it up again. I was pretty good at racing.
Then I remind myself I am over 40. My reactions aren’t as quick as they were in my teens and things have moved on.
I remember the signing on sheets where you had to list if you were 26mhz or 40mhz (might be wrong frequency) and what colour crystals you had for each band so they allocate you something you had.
I remember a pair of brothers turn up at Eastwood in Notts and people all of a sudden we’re having interference issues when either of them were racing. Little bds were swapping out the crystals and deliberately interfering with others frequencies. Sure fire way of getting told to fk off and not come back. I imagine these days there all encrypted and digital so a thing of the past.

Lol same here, although I am nearer 50! When I was in my late teens, I used to race at the grandly-titled 'Royal Surrey Radio Controlled Car Club' which had a permanent track at Sandown Park horse racing course. I loved it, and had enough success to keep going back. Then I remind myself I am over 40. My reactions aren’t as quick as they were in my teens and things have moved on.

I don't think there'd be anything wrong with the likes of you and I taking it up again now, we'd probably have to learn some new stuff about the latest technology maybe, but I daresay that wouldn't be a barrier?
