My Tamiya Sand Scorcher is now approaching something I'd describe as finished! I need to add the driver which will take me ages to paint as I've never done it before, and I'll keep adding various parts to this as I love some of the accessories you can print with a 3d printer!

Been a challenging paint job, box art on a Scorchers isn't an easy undertaking!
Some of the highlights are the black edging on the blue which is Kyosho 0.4mm micron tape and the chrome belt line trim which is adhesive chrome metal foil.

Managed to get this in the air today… I haven’t flown for over 20 years, but this was inherited from my late father last year, and rather than it gathering dust I thought I’d risk smashing it to bits!!

It’s 2.75m wingspan running on 3s lipos.. it’s taken me a bit of time to get round the new technology of lipo’s, Spektrum radios etc… it was glow fuel and a Futaba Zap1 radio when I used to fly. Managed to keep it in one piece and now I know it’s airworthy I’ll take it down to my local club.

Can’t believe how much drag strapping a GoPro on top induces. Without it on it will do a double loop on the glide

Having kids and an empty attic used by the previous house owner for model trains is a great excuse to buy toys. Obviously, my 5-year-old son is not allowed to play with any of them biggrin

This is a RC car that you don't see very often, the Partner Racing QX-4. This 4WD 1:18 scale buggy is designed as a rock crawler and is styled on the sort of vehicles that compete in the Icelandic Formula Offroad series. See it in action on a rocky mountain trail in the video below:

This is a RC car that you don't see very often, a Maserati Levante.

This model is produced in 1:14 scale by Rastar. It is fully licensed and has nice detailing on the exterior and interior. See this RC car in more detail, including on/off-road testing at the link below:

I'll get a pics of the cars later but I just managed a 42mph run (on sub-optimal settings e.g. low punch setting etc.) using a Hobao VS that used to be a nitro (Hyper 30 turbo head) but has recently been converted to brushless. Running a 2200kv motor and Max8 ESC. This is on 3S with a 20T pinion taken from a Typhon 6S V5. No idea what the stock spur is.

Will try and do some more runs later on 6S in the Hyper. Not sure if I'll have time to do anything with the Typhon today.

It wasn't much slower off road (on grass) and managed 41mph. But then the battery starts to drop off and fell to 39mph.

I think he’s gone faster than 198 too. 20-something I think.
