Looks good. Let us know how it goes. I was considering one of these before I ended up with the Arrma Vorteks Sure it's something I'm doing, but I'm going to take a trip back to the shop tomorrow before they close to get some advice or a new one.
Nice. I really love my Javelin Re re - so lovely to build. I used the chain just for some more noise and character. I do run it, but not hard, I’ve got other buggies for that. I use turbo optima wheels and Schumacher tyres to run, so I keep the stock wheels and (really soft) Sand Super tyres nice for the shelf.
I’m thinking I’ll get a mini z optima next time I’m in Japan - should be more useful in the garden (only on astroturf/paving, not the real grass…)

This is my Cross-RC EMO AT4V 1:10 scale crawler in action on a mountain trail. It has portal axles, independent front and rear axle locking differentials and 2-speed transmission. During the build I added quite a few aluminium alloy and brass parts to improve crawling performance. There are also some accessories to give better scale realism.

I'm waiting for the Holmes Hobbies motor (he's got some good TRX4M videos on YouTube). I'll install it with the Traxxas low range gearset which is only about a £5er.I have also added the following... for both cars eek!!
INJORA 24T/12T Alloy Steel Helical Gear Set
INJORA Black Brass Steering Link
INJORA Bearing kit
INJORA Tow Hook Shackles for SCX24 TRX4M Bumpers
INJORA Coreless High Torque Micro Servo for 1/18 TRX4M (INJS11) - Servo with mount & black horn
INJORA Black Brass - Diff Covers
INJORA Black Brass - Steering Knuckles
INJORA Black Brass - C Hubs
INJORA Black Brass - Steering Link
INJORA 1.0" 56*22mm Soft Rubber Rock Terrain Tires
INJORA 1.0" Negative Offset 3.78mm Deep Dish Stamped Steel Wheel Rims
INJORA Inner Wheel Rings for 1.0" Wheels
Traxxas Light Kit
Traxxas Steel Hardware Kit
Traxxas low range gears
Traxxas Steel Suspension Link Set
Traxxas Heat Sink
I added the bits to one car first which was interesting as I could do direct tests. The difference in performance is massive once you get some weight low down.
The Injora bead lock wheels, tyres and brass wheel rings would be my top recommendation both for performance and aesthetics.

This is my TRX4. Started as a '21 Bronco but then I got modding. It's got 4WS (opposed steering, crab steering, rear steer only, and front steer only modes), as well as a "kinetic" winch (which is basically just a bungee cord attached to a big fishing hook)...
Debating throwing it on an Injora LCG chassis.

Wanted something to replace the Acme conquistador nitro car , but less fragile and temperamental so went for a brushless model.
Opted to start with 2S batteries and it still absolutely flies.
Pics don't do justice as to how big it is.
A few questions if i can hijack the thread for a moment..
1) is it better to fast or slow charge lipo batteries ?
2) do I need to worry about storing them - ie are they still a fire hazard at rest ? I only have one and have kept it in a fireproof pouch in the garage.
3) are other centre diffs available? A locked or limited slip would work better as an open centre diff isn't very effective when the car gets stuck with the front wheels raised off the ground.
I do miss the noise and drama of a nitro , but this is a) something the kids can have a play with as you can limit the top speed and b) won't annoy any neighbours even on a Sunday.
These look like such good value and I'm tempted to buy one but I really wanted a kit to build and these come almost ready to run. I am planning to get back into this hobby, I had a classic cougar many years ago and was looking at the Procat this time around, a friend had one years ago which I loved but I think a truggy will be better as I'd like to run it in my garden mainly which is grass, quite rough in places.Opted to start with 2S batteries and it still absolutely flies.

How has yours been, I know this was posted last August, have you had much use out of it?

I bought my son a maverick quantum but it was returned after a short period of ownership due to poor quality. He now has my Team Associated Rival MT10 which is a beast.

If you want a kit then try a Tekno MT410

Thanks, looks good but a bit pricey. I've had Tamiya before and I do appreciate quality so maybe Schumacher is the way to go..I bought my son a maverick quantum but it was returned after a short period of ownership due to poor quality. He now has my Team Associated Rival MT10 which is a beast.
